USPS space available is pretty much the cheapest option. Shipping to an APO is far far far cheaper than shipping internationally normally though.

+1. All the care packages I got while in Iraq came this way as did most others. Definitely the easiest way to do it.

It would take a few flat rate boxes.

My mom had a friend who was associated with a Loveland American Legion and they sent me a LARGE box of stuff for my troops and it took three months to get there due to its size. The flat rate boxes are there in a week. My office sent 23 flat rate boxes full of stuff for my troops and they got there in a week. Cost? I don't remember the cost amounts for the large box verses the flat rate boxes, but for speed alone, that is the way to go.

If you are shipping items to Iraq, do it soon, post offices are starting to shut down at the FOBs, unless they are at one of the big bases.

Plus I would only send stuff right now that someone really needs, the brass is telling everyone to downsize their baggage. With all the movement going on right now, I hope whatever you send reaches that person.

My wife sent me two flat rate rate boxes and I think the total came out to around $25. I got them in about 10 days.

My dad "sent" me a care package and it was returned "undeliverable".

I'm not sayin' anything I'm just sayin'...

I think USPS flat rate is the way to go.
