View Full Version : What T.V show would you bring back
DANGERTASTIC!

So Labor Day is coming up, probably gonna watch Twilight Zone all day. My favorite show. The shit they play on T.V sucks nowadays, nothing original. Remember Gilligans Island?
Magnum P.I was another favorite.
Simon&Simon.
What would you guys put back on the air

Firefly.
I was too young to enjoy some of the good old shows, but I did like Miami Vice, Nash Bridges (no I don't have a thing for Don Johnson), Viper (my favorite back then), Knight Rider, and who could forget Thunderbirds (with the puppets!)... some more recent ones I wish weren't stopped and they'd bring back: Firefly, The Unit, Jericho, and E-Ring.

Star Trek TNG.
and I love the twilight zone marathons, never miss em, fills up my DVR for weeks afterwards. I thought about saying bring back TZ but they would just ruin it, remember the awful 80s attempt?

Where did you find Irvings list???[ROFL1]
On the "Friends" thing-wife always watched and I would occasionally catch a minute. One scene sticks in my head-Lisa Kudrow had cracked her head on something and was rubbing it and her comment: "it's just not the same unless it's from a headboard"
Cracked me up.

I lean toward bringing back Firefly.
My fear with all the other shows I loved is that the new version would suck (which is what usually happens) thus tainting the original.

I'm gonna go with two that I actually miss.. I don't know half of the ones listed previously.. Guess they were on before TVs had remotes.
But my choices..
Firefly
The Unit[Beer]
Loved the unit but hated the ending.
However, I certainly wouldn’t want these remade because they would suck.
Fall Guy - favorite
Magnum PI - favorite
Dukes of Hazard
Wild Wild West
The Incredible Hulk
Baa Baa Black Sheep ‘Black Sheep Squadron’ [ show died like so many that are started and die]
Happy Days
Everybody Loves Raymond
I only made it through seasons one and two of 24, but I thought they were pretty good.
However, I certainly wouldn’t want these remade because they would suck.

All the actors are still around and based on some of their interviews about the show, would probably jump at the opportunity. Wheldon loved the show too.

This, and holy shit there's alot of us firefly fans. Thats.........shiny.LOL
Other shows would be......
Stargate: Universe (LOVED the premise of this show, but it wasnt about douchebag's in Jesrsey or washed up celebrity's trying to dance so it got canned.)
Farscape: its like muppets on acid lol
Battlestar Galactica : Really love ALL versions but must say the most recent is my fave! 6 is hot as hell
ALF: who doesn't like a wise wise cracking kitty eating alien?
Dinosaurs: Earl SINCLAIR LOL
Chuck: Not off air yet but this will be the final season[Rant1]
My favorite martion: Steve carell would be great for this or jim carrey
But reality TV is king right now. It makes twice as much money for half the cost of a good SCRIPTED show with professional ACTORS!

Yeah I'm surprised how many COAR people are Firefly fans. It was one of the best shows on TV and stupid Fox had to shut it down in favor of r-tard reality shows. Best line from Alan Tudyk was in Serenity: Mal: Define 'interesting.'
Wash: Oh god, oh god we're all gonna die?
And fuck reality TV- especially those crackwhores and roid junkies on Jersey Shore (well except I would bang the breaks off of JWOW- but never let her speak).

The movie, Serenity, did pretty pretty well in theaters too, so you'd think there would be support to ressurect the show for more movies or a series. I think the only actor who is actively working is the male lead and he is on 'Castle'.

I liked both of them as well. Very disappointed that Stargate: Universe was pulled, but they ended the show with a way to ressurect the series if the powers see fit to do so. Farscape killed off Dargo. Hard to imagine a new series without him.

DirecTV Channel 3 (KCDO) in the Denver market will get you quite a few of them. If you're in the Colorado Springs market, you're outta luck. (My brother lives 2 miles from me and is in the COS market, so he don't get 'em.)
This station has a lot of infomercials but many of the ones you folks are wishing for are there; Rockford Files, Magnum, Star Trek (the original), Get Smart, Hogans Heroes, The A Team, Streets of San Francisco, Emergency, Adam 12 are a few that come to mind right away.

Firefly
The wife and I thought we were crazy when they axed Firefly. We figured it was confirmed when Stargate Universe (while no Firefly by any means) bit the dust.
My plan now is to not get involved in any show until it has at least two seasons under its belt...

And I can't believe no one mentioned these shows (that I seen anyway)
Northern Exposure, China Beach, Rat Patrol
Most already mentioned:
Jericho
