The imagination and creative spirit of Americans never ceases to amaze me. Scenario: It's a terrible recession and the construction industry, and your construction business, has fallen on hard times. Your equipment is sitting idle in your yard. What do you do?

Adult Sandbox Opens Near Las Vegas Strip (http://www.aol.com/2011/09/02/sandbox-las-vegas_n_946419.html)

Not "that" kind of adult. Take your construction equipment and rent it out for a few hours to those who've always wanted to play equipment operator!

What a great idea. Got a lemon? Make lemonade!

you mean id have to pay to do something i already get paid to do ?? meh ... i guess regular people dont get to play with the cool toys .
but it is a good idea in some ways .on one hand those machines will never be good for another job site after they get thrashed by the gen pop . but on the other it will generate some bucks on equipment thats just sitting around .

I'd rather have an adult "Army Playset", backhoes, bobcats, excavators and such are boring- I've played with them the last 20 years.

Now tanks, half tracks and such would be more fun.

But I will agree, it is a great idea.

yep +1 on this for sure . i pay good money to lick off a few 105 rounds or knock down a barn with a tank .

I operate some big stuff, and anyone in the construction/mining world should be delited to pay a little of their cash to wreck the SHIT out of some old, beat-ass equipment... Equipment War.

There was one of these in Germany a few years ago. Next time I'm in Vegas it'll deff be on my list of things to do.

not only does it look like fun, but that is an ingenious business model.
