Head down to Alamosa some time. They have an alligator ranch there- hot springs and tillapia farm. They have a couple hundred alligators there along with crocks, snakes, etc. Very cool place. I have had the chance to wrestle a couple alligators- great photo opportunity. Alligators are scared of humans. They got a 7' on shore for me and I got to check it out. Amazing. The alligator was definitely in control and could have removed me any time it wanted to. Cool creature- not sure how someone can routinely kill one for the fun of it.

Alamosa also has the Sand Dunes, hot springs, UFO stuff, and great Mexican food. Love that area. Too cold to live there in the winter- 40 below zero stuff. Damn.

Heard about the Croc wrestling lessons down there on NPR. They originally got those crocs to use as garbage disposals for the tillapia farm. They eventually got more and more, and once people started hearing about them, they would come in to find people's old pet crocs left at their front door and stuff.
