Just think of how bad it could have been if the President didn't borrow all of that money to stimulate us the last time. [ROFL1]

Apparently borrowing Chinese money is like eating Chinese food. It is good while you are enjoying it, but you always seem to be hungry and want some more an hour or two later. [ROFL2]

Obama has also called for public works projects, such as school construction. Advocates of that plan have called for spending of $50 billion, but the White House proposal is expected to be smaller.

They are living up to the idea that they are insane. What did all their cronies spent the 800 billion dollars from the last stimulus package already? I think they need to make money instead of take money.

I realize there are well regarded economists that think otherwise but I can't see how spending more money helps reduce a problem brought about by spending too much money in the first place...

Insanity is defined as doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different result.

I heard the analogy that Government spending is like a plane speeding towards the ground at high speed. And Obama spending cuts is like offering nothing more than reducing the speed a little. And then bragging about what a good job he did.

I would say it's more like pulling up on the throttle a little bit, waiting for the applause, then putting it back down

Things like this: http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-solyndra-raid-20110909,0,7976969.story And all the other "green jobs" like replanting the northeast and other giant wastes of money that didn't create long term jobs, didn't advance technology, and didn't help out the middle Americans it was aimed to hire, only succeeding in lining the pockets of the bureaucrats who "supervised" the projects...

Its was all about getting money to the takers who got him elected. Damn that was obvious. Not as sneaky as they are known for.

Not sneaky at all, in fact their antics are becoming more and more obvious each passing day.

They are going to loot the producers and give the loot to their favorite groups, the financiers who paid for their elections and the people who voted for them.

At least they made it look like they were doing something. Most con artists just set a PO box and collect the checks. These guys went all out and set up a building and hired people before they ran off with the money.

While paying it back is wrong because sometimes the avenue of study is a dead end. Solar panels are not a new idea. They should have shown something for their work. But then again it was just a dummy company meant to funnel money those Obama owed a favor to.
