View Full Version : So just got back from Vegas...
And it was my first time there... HOOOLLLEEEEEEE, I fawking love that town! Only there for 3 days but so worth it! And didn't come back in the positive but only lost $65 when all was said and done. Main reason we went was for a music festival and the little brother almost got married to a friend of ours, but didn't realize they didn't have to do the paperwork, it was just going to be the ceremony. Ahh the crazy shit we do when massive quantities of alcohol are involved...
All in all, great trip, missed you guys, and now where the hell did the summer weather go?
Told ya. I Can't catch a buzz there alltitude is too low.
Next trip plan a few shows, ride in the desert, etc.

I MISS VEGAS! Lived there for 5 years, had a blast, got married, had a son, then moved back here. If it wasnt for my wife hating the heat I would still live there! But I rarely went to casinos, except the Texas station buffet and Gardunos [ROFL1] My aunt is high up at MGM (now, was at Mirage resorts) so we always got free tickets to the NFR and any other shows we wanted to see.

Oh next trip- which I got one for free (3 days 2 nights at the Luxor) I plan on doing a lot more... and yeah, it took about 2 hours at the blackjack table to catch a buzz. That low altitude sure is a killer on my bladder though- "Hey Jim, I've pissed 5 times but I'm still not drunk... I don't think this altitude agrees with my desires to get hammered."

been there, nothing special, too many children, too f#$%^in crowded. after running the slot machine for 3 hours on a $1 investment i called it quits.
The only cool factor for me was it looked like Blade Runner at night.

Thanks Mazin, but I'm paying for the good time now- I feel like crap and my voice is nearly gone. Shouldn't have gotten so annihilated Monday night/Tuesday morning... went to bed at 7AM and didn't get home from the airport until about 1:30AM this morning, then work at 9... yeah, rough.
And thanks for making it cool down here. Welcome change from all the heat lately.

Glad you had a great time. I have held my own at the poker tables and also have been able to see Vegas a lot off the strip. A buddy's uncle lives there and we stayed with them and also climbed our hearts out in Red Rock NP. It has some of the best climbs in the world there and we partied at night. Definatly need to take my wife there. She would love it.
The flights crack me up, on the way over the ladies are dolled up, lookin' lovely as ever and ready for action, then on the flight back you see the very same ladies show up with their hair all knotted up in a hair tie, PJ's, mismatched flip flops, some of those huge bus windshield sunglasses, with the obvious look of regret. Hehehe.

whats even funnier is when they still have some "Regret" in their hair and don't know it.
everyone stared at this chic the whole flight from LV to Dallas/FW and no one would say a word...
kept reminding me of that one scene in the movie..(forgot name) "Hair Gel"

Coop, you're in for a fun time, just avoid Criss Angel and Carrot Top, I heard they blow. A good show to try to get tickets to- from what a cabbie told us- is Fantasy at the Luxor. We couldn't make it because of the concert on Monday, but we'll see it next time we go around maybe Jan...
Good luck at the tables and stay away from Roulette, stick to Blackjack.

O is good Blue Man group is awesome. The Ciurqe thing has alot of different shows at different locals but havent made all of them Zumanity don't take the seats down front unless you wanna be part of the show. Wild Horse Review

Just rememer JUST say NO to all those people approaching you for FREE show tickets.
You lose a whole day listening to their shit.
Bill's has the best steak on the strip and won't break the bank.
Love visiting there, but I can't live there. Too hot and dirty
few years back worked down there for about a month, came away from the craps tables with about $1200.
not into that sort of thing anymore, but the stripclubs there are top notch. did things that would have gotten me thrown out of the back door at dejavu.
Gotta love a place that lets you walk down the sidewalk drinking. [Beer]
If you haven't done the zip-line at Freemont street, you should put that on your list. Make sure you do it at night.
