Ya youre gonna like it. Super easy to use and has 2point/single point capabilities. Good choice. The Ms3 should be out soon.

If you have any questions about installation just ask. It can be frustrating the first time.

I have an ASAP on both of my set ups

It looks like the ms3 just has some different hardware but should work the same. The clasp for the rear looks like the front one on the ms2, the front clasp looks different, and the ring for single point mode looks a little different.

I'm also a fan of the ms2 setup I have. I really like going between single and two point so easily in addition to just being able to take the whole thing off with no problem. The adjustment method is also really well thought out. I'm also a big fan of having the rear attachment closer to the reciever as opposed to the end of the stock. While all that stuff isn't exclusive to magpul it's nice to have it all together.

It does work the same. The whole thing is rediesigned with different hardware and materials.

Have you put an ASAP plate in? I thought the original question was about the ASAP plate. Or are you explaining that BECAUSE you have built 5 lowers you wont have any problem and it negates the fact that the ASAP plate wont be any different due to your experience building lowers.

I was simply stating that IF you had questions about it ask. I have seen alot of the same question

Nope. It just replaces the plate. You can't even put it on backwards by accident.

The difference is the stupid little "detent" block they include. It can be a bitch to get lined up sometimes.

Im usually pretty good about getting it the first time. Sometimes it goes in sideways.

So holding the plate and getting the rear takedown pin spring to stay put while putting that thing in sometimes can suck.

The ASAP isnt like a normal end plate

does it thread on or jus slide on and then you put the lock nut on like a normal plate

Normal plate. In addition to the instructions the installation should be very clear when you have it in front of you.

That little detent thing is what makes it a pain in the ass.

You have to get the castle nut close, line up the reciever extension, hold the end plate and get the takedown spring lined up, (careful not to bend it), while getting the "Detent" in the groove of the reciever extension.

I like to use needle nose pliers or a toothpick. It has to be something small. Even a set of picks works, if it goes in long-ways then it can be a bitch

Lol Thank you! I take that as a compliment! You could say that. Im not Mil. or LEO.

I use my rifles. On a weekly basis. I dont throw it on the ground or anything but it DOES get used.

Why you think I make my pics so nice, If I didnt then it just looks like a POS beat up rifle

i love it but i havent received the rsa yet so i think it will be much better then, i havnt fully mastered all the dohikies on the slig yet either but it is verry nice hardware. It is kind of like putting a little bell on your gun but it doesnt bother me to much i think if i need to be silent ill put some e tape on it

I was thinking a piece of masking tape just sticking to the insert block, slide it in and then use the tape to hold it in place till the nut is snug.

just have someone hold the asap plate down stick the dowel in the hole with some needle nose pliers and the turn the castle nut and the castle nut will push the dowel in

Was looking at a convertible (1 to 2 point sling) and saw this, any other feedback? Can you post a video of you using the sling transitioning it?

Love the vikings tactical adjustable sling, wonder if someone can incorporate that to something like like this with a few buckles/hardware/etc.

A youtube search for "ms2 sling" will get you a bunch of results on how it transitions along with plenty 2 cent reviews. I'll give you mine for free, though! Even without the asap plate it's a quality sling by a quality company. They're made from good hardware and I like the slick material for the sling itself. You get plenty of different slings on either side of the price of varried quality on both ends. I think this finds that happy medium.
