Anybody planning on being a little bit more heavily armed than usual?

I am. Going to be in a few highly populated soft target areas over the weekend, including a large church on Sunday (3000 followers... a lot larger than I'm used to, but a friend asked me to go with her so she feels safer). More firepower can't hurt.

On another note.... did you know that a side-folder AK and a few mags fit very nicely in a tennis racket bag? [Coffee]

I'm not going anywhere without extra protection. I'm going to carry a cop. And if that doesn't work an extra mag or 3.

Yes and no, my only planned event is to go put lots of holes in stuff, but other than that, not really. I will make sure to have a full tank of gas and plenty of water, but other than that, life goes on, islamofascism be damned.

Speaking of that, I'm surprise that there isn't a club shoot or some other organized event that I've noticed. Wouldn't mind meeting up with some of y'all.

I think I'll just hang out around Bailey. Haven't seen too many terrorists around here lately.

Terrorists ... tourists ... 6 of one, half dozen of the other :p

I have been packing a larger gun to church for the last few months ... the church I go to is near the Broadmoor and has a large military family attendance so I figure both the Marxist/unionists that should start getting violent soon AND the muzzies that hate the US military might see my church as a potential soft target ... thing is the congregation there is rather conservative and I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only guy packing there.

Have to admit...terrorists may pose more danger, but tourists are more of a pain in the ass. It's really hard to come up with a legal justification for shootin' 'em.

Unfortunately, "he needed killin'" doesn't work as well as it once did.

I'll be working so no weapons for me. I'm not too worried about something going down at my job though.

Not as long as they're wearing socks.

I'll be carrying as usual. Maybe the .45 instead of the 9mm, just to mix things up.

I have been increasing the amount of ammo and have thrown a couple extra weapons in to the mix of what I take with me in the truck, for the next couple of weeks or so. Hopefully we don't need to use any of them.

FBI says it's major concern are Mumbai-style attacks. When I'm out and about, I'll hopefully be prepared to counter any such event.

You can pack/carry all you can, but it won't do any good against a WMD or 727. But yes, I will upgrade my carry and add extra magazines.

I don't plan on being too far from home tomorrow.. but I will have a few extra items in my bag... also going to have my primary and a bug.

This type of attack would not result in the same level of casualties here (Colorado, at least) because there are so many private citizens that are armed. They might be more successful in DC or NYC.

No! No! NO! That style of attack will not work there because they have the best (worst) gun control laws on the books and that is all it takes to keep gun violence from happening. The police are there to protect the people and no body needs a gun. There I think that is settled pretty nicely.

NBC attacks and hijacked airliners are of no concern IMO... I don't believe al-Qaeda has the structure and organization right now, after losing OBL and other high level guys, to pull off such an attack.
What I'm expecting if anything is lots of smaller, widespread, coordinated attacks (coordinated as in they all have their marching orders for the same day and general time). They announced a "credible threat" of a car bombing in NY and DC but didn't have any solid suspects last I heard. The problem is that we only know of these two groups... the way these guys work (compartmentalized), they probably didn't even know of each other's operations... there could be who knows how many more cells out there preparing to make their moves that we don't know about.
The muzzies like to do things on anniversaries and big dates (IIRC the Mumbai attacks were on the birthday of one of the 9/11 attackers or something)... and this is the 10th anniversary of 9/11. Not to mention we're due for some retribution for OBL.

A car bomb is considered a WMD on a smaller scale, in the wright place it could kill tens and injure hundreds.

Just gonna lay low. I have work to get done and don't have much care for the general public. Gotta run a couple of errands then at the shop.
I will agree though it seems the muzzies like to pull their shenanigans on certain dates.
Maybe add a little extra iron.
Not too worried.

Gotta say, I'll probably put the shotty in the trunk.. I did go and try to but ammo the other day but walmart was out of .45 and 7.62!

Anything that might happen, I could either battle with my xd, or it's not going to matter anyway .. I'm just hoping if there is an attack, it wil be the kind that we can fight a little... [M2] [Luck]

Show these fucks how colorado does it...
