Help with DOB

Have a S&W 659 and a Browning BDA 380 I would like to find the DOB on both. Where do I start? [Help]

Call S&W and give them the model and SN. They will tell you over the phone what the manufacture year is.

For the Browning, you should see two letters in the SN.
M=0
N=9
p=8
r=7
t=6
v=5
w=4
x=3
y=2
z=1

mz would be 2001

Got it. The Smith is a 1988 and the Browning is a 1979.
