don't care if my daughter is stationed at Ft Bragg, we had nothing to do with it. Really, does anyone want to go shooting, [ROFL1][ROFL1][ROFL1]

I love how all the articles have to mention that the ammo "can be fired in the M16 and M4 assault rifles"...way to sensationalize it, jackasses!

As if somehow that makes it REALLY dangerous, more so than the 150000 rounds of 9mm ball ammo that goes unaccounted for every year. Or the grenade simulators that turn up missing on a regular basis.

They must have had a recent inventory to know it went missing on a specific night.

Unless it was in a stack of like hundreds of thousands... I would say that 14K rounds missing would be pretty easy to spot.

but hey, maybe that's just me.

its like 14 Ammo Cans...
26 pounds per K = 364 pounds.

I Smell an inside job.

your math is off...slightly. 364 pounds of ammo. isnt really that much. only a stack around 2 foot by 2 foot by 3.5 feet. at least in the boxes i buy it in from Jensens.

I was guessing 500 rnds a can at 30 ,lbs each for a total of aprx 840 lbs total. It really depends on how the had it stored, but 14k rounds can easily be done in a truck.
