My rant....
I called Comcast to get a CableCard for my home theater (think PC card instead of tuners, gets all channels) so they tell me to run to their store to get one. I go to the store in Littleton, they are out. Arghh. Plus, they have no way of contacting another store because they have no phones - intentionally. Really? No phones? Wow. Apparently, I'm told, Comcast doesn't want employees making or taking phone calls - ever.
So I run to the Acoma store (30 minutes away), wait in line for 30 minutes to be told "nope we don't have them either". At least this woman had the sense to instant message ANOTHER store and found one for me. I was pretty pissed and she gave me a $300 credit on my account for my trouble.
So, another 30 minute drive to Wheatridge, another 45 minutes standing in line and I finally get my damn card. While I'm waiting in line, this fat mexican broad cuts the line and goes right to the counter. Fortunately the Comcast folks said "back in line". I go out to get the hell out of there and someone blocked THREE cars in. There were no parking spaces left, so this person though it wise to just park right behind three cars. Arghhh.
I go inside and ask who has the silver Grand Prix. Guess who? Yup, the fat mexican woman. I tell her she's blocking me and she says "yea, there was no place to park" but didn't make a move to take care of it. I tell her "mind moving your car please so I can leave?". Begrudgingly she goes out and moves her car to the nearest Handicapped spot. Whatever. Queen of the ass-hats apparently.
As I start my car I can hear her say "you're welcome" (I have a convertible, so easy to hear it). I ignore her because I'm thinking "really? You block me in and I'm supposed to thank you?". I start pulling out and hear her again say "Your Welcome". Ignored again. Finally she screams "YOU'RE WELCOME" and that was it, I was over the edge now. After wasting nearly four hours on this stupid card, now I have this twat? I stopped, rolled down my window and told her "you expect me to thank you for blocking me in and then doing me the big favor of dragging your fat ass out here to move your car? Learn some manners you cow." She was dumfounded and I left the poor excuse for a human being there to look as stupid as she acts.
People suck. Rant over :).
+1. People do suck. Afraid as time goes by it only gets worse with each generation. That's why old people aren't afraid of death. They are sick and tired of dealing with people and just want out. [Coffee]

I had some broad walking her dog (or was it the other way around?)...
I'm coming down the path and call out "on the left" as a courtesy to say "I'm coming through", any way, she goes to the left, but her dog, who obviously is in control, decides to block traffic and goes right (on a leash), the dog doesn't listen and a tug-'O-war ensues.. I come to a halt right near her while she drags her dog out of the way. I didn't say anything at all, but she says to me "it's ok", I don't say anything and again, she raises her voice and says it again and again, each time putting a more hostile tone on it. I just wanted to move on, but I guess she wanted to be vindicated that she was being nice to me [Shake]
I almost went back and let her have it, saying that it was not ok that she didn't have control of her dog and I wasn't about to make her feel better for it.
don't get me started about "people" who almost kill you when you're on a motorcycle and they think that "sorry" or "sorry I didn't see you" is OK. put your phone down, pull your head out and pay attention...[Rant2]

Yesterday I decided it was time to get new glasses. My wife got hers eyes examined last week, and is waiting for them to be ready for pick up. I went to the same Lenscrafters. The wife and I were there for over 2 hours, I got my exam, picked out frames, got them fitted, after my insurance paid still owed $600, damn! My glasses were ready in about an hour, just like the ads say.
The wife and I headed over to Green Mountain guns, picked out a new .45, mags, grips, and a new holster, and were heading home. Her phone rang, it was Lenscrafters, her glasses were ready... REALLY??? When we got there, the same guy who she had asked when we first got there for my glasses if hers were in, (he said they were not) had a dumb look on his face, "Welcome back, forget something?"
That's a common theme nowadays. People aren't brought up to carry their own load and take responsibility for their own actions.
If people taught their children to be honest and respectful it would solve most of the problems we have. Compound laziness with disrespectful, now we have the right ingredients for me to go off on someone.
We need more John Wayne and less rap music.

Hell yeah they do. We got cable going again for football season and they managed to hang up on me twice, give me bad equipment once, and cause me to go to the store 3 times over the course of three days. I was livid the last time I went in. The lady said she'd call me when they had the equipment that I needed to put me at ease. I waited 5 business days and no call.
Their customer service blows and I have to listen to their CEO tell me how hard they're working on it every time I'm on hold with them.

I was driving home last summer heading East on 6th to the 25. On that lovely merge area I start working the zipper maneuver. You know, one car on the right goes, then one on the left. Something every one is supposed to know and use. Well this lady in a Highlander on my left decides she was supposed to be in front of me. Whatever. I keep my 1ft distance from the car in front of me as she pulls next to me. She slowly starts trying to edge me out. Once again, whatever. I have damn good insurance fuck you I ain't movin. She gets closer to me. Honks her horn. I maintain the same distance from the car in front of me and act like she isn't there. She finally gets close enough for my drivers mirror to start drawing a line on her door. She lays on the horn. I keep driving. She guns the car, pulls it around about 5 people in front of us and jumps the line.
This is where it goes full retard. Oh, you thought it was retarded all ready? Nope.
She throws the Highlander in park 5 cars ahead of me and gets out of the car. She apologizes to the car right behind her car "I'm sorry I have to go talk to this asshole". At this point the line of cars is pulling out of the line and moving around her. She makes it back to my car and knocks on the window yelling at me. I continue to ignore her and drive around her parked car and merge onto 25.
What kills me to this day about the whole situation is the line I came up with after I was already on 25. She had a nice set of knockers. Real nice. Serious MILF. I should have rolled down my window and asked her "Do your tits always look this nice when you're angry?" No, really. They were spectacular.

I get to call another's insurance tomorrow because of something like this. 2 lane left turn onto the on ramp to the freeway. The cars for the oncoming side have one lane and a big yield sign because it dumps right into the lane.
So the light turns green and we all go around the corner. Big white dodge decides that there is a merge or that everyone else will get out of the way. Only two lanes and I had a car on the left in the other one and a dodge half on and half off the road on the right. She wound up clipping my mirror.
She come out all mad and I asked her did you see the big "YIELD" sign or was that just a suggestion? She got onto the phone to the guy that owned the truck and after she was all apologetic. I think he told her she was dead wrong.[Bang] So now after 36 years of driving I have been run into 4 times. I have never had an accident that was my fault. If people would just pay attention.....

I have you seen a woman flounce? I think thats the word for it. Kinda like a stiff legged quick walk. And it worries me a bit I remember this detail but she was wearing a kinda thin blue button down shirt. Not much restraint to the twins under it so as she walked they were moving quite a bit. I would say high C or low D, sadly not cold cuz that would have stopped me and the rest of traffic for the rest of the day. Rest of her was not bad at all. Really not bad, as in good. Older, but well kept.

I have to say that the level of suck I have experienced with Comcast over the last 10 years is nothing like that I experienced from 2000-2002 with Qwest/MSN

yeah I just had to turn in my cable box because my super special xfinity bundle deal ended and I was paying way too much.
but the service is pretty solid. only gone out maybe twice.
friend with qwest have many more outages and signal problems.

You got lucky. I had nothing but problems with Comcast in the 6 months I was a customer. 6 months later with Centurylink and there's been one issue but it was a neighborhood outage while all the Comcast issues were somehow the fault of the 3-4 different boxes I went through or my fault.

I had a really close call yesterday where Woodmen merges onto NB Powers. The merge lane is really long so a lot of people don't realize that it goes away. A LOT of people don't realize that it goes away... and they end up just following the white line on their right and incidentally merging with traffic without ever looking, or they just drive onto the shoulder and almost go off the road at 50+mph. If I am already on NB Powers, I try to stick to the far left lane as much as possible to avoid the oblivious drivers that almost cause accidents daily. I seriously see this happen every single day on the way home from work.

There's a road like this in Longtown though maybe not as long of a merge lane ... I don't think people are oblivious so much ... it's that nasty entitlement again - hell with the rules, my lane ended so you move.
