Just got the Chip McCormick (CMC) AR tactical trigger from Brownells and installed it in one of my ARs (Bushmaster lower & Spikes middy upper). Installation is simple as the CMC "module" contains the hammer, disco & trigger along with springs- no need to deal with separate pieces. I did need to remove the selector switch to have room to fit the module in the lower. The only other "difficulty" was the c-clips that fit on the "notched" end of each pin to keep them from walking. They are tiny, pesky little devils & tend to fly off in all directions while you're trying to get them on the pins.

Anyway, got to the range with the new trigger this morning & what a difference! My stock 8 pound, creepy trigger is a distant memory; and I now have a nice, crisp 3 3/4 pound trigger with little to no creep. My groups shrunk considerably as did my ability to fire multiple rounds quickly, and I am really pleased. :) WB

What did the trigger cost? Was the old trigger single or two stage?

Both the stock trigger group & the CMC replacement are single stage. I think the CMC trigger unit is available for around $180 from either Brownells or Midway. WB
