Has anyone tried the ADCOM M855 ammo being sold in Gander Mtn? It's made in United arab Emirates, in a glossy sand colored box with little info, headstamped "AD 5.56", FMJ, brass cased. Wondering if it's surplus, worth a damn, and when the he77 did the arabs start getting into the ammo business? ...edited for ammo name brand correction...
here is a link from arf.com, some like it some dont, and one guy say's it blew up his ar. but it is arf.com so take it for what it is worth.

There goes my desires to get a case. I wanted some budget 62gr, but now I'll wait to find other brands. Not all stories were bad, I'm just not in a trusting mood for potentially bad arab ammo right now.
I've put about 300 rounds through my new Bushmaster M4A3, no failures so far. All rounds have been pretty accurate, and it'll punch through quarter-inch steel. I have yet to find a round with ANY tarnish or dents in it. I've got another 100 rounds that I'm definitely going to go through, and I'll probably go back and pick up more from Gander when I'm done. $3.99/ box of 20 isn't half bad.
Edit -- it is surplus, and most of the guys on Arf who are having problems with it have mentioned a '99 headstamp. All of mine is '98 headstamp.
