"5 men break into Colorado Springs home, use fire extinguisher to rob woman.

Several men robbed a Colorado Springs woman after breaking into her apartment and one robber kept the victim at bay with a fire extinguisher."

We humans can use anything as a weapon.

Wouldn't it be funny if she was packing a piece with a Crimson Trace on it ... then the beam would glow through the cloud of the fire extinguisher just before the assailant was ventilated.

Pants wettin' funny right there.

HOLY SHIT AND THERE ARE NO LAWS REGULATING THESE WEAPONS OF MASS MAYHEM!

I can see Obama now:
"I have put forth new measures to track the illegal distribution of fire extinguishers to criminals both here in the US and in Mexico. We will call it Operation Fire Walker." [LOL]

I don't understand why any citizen in this country would feel the need to own and or use such a device as a 'fire extinguisher', he have trained professionals called 'fire fighters' who endanger themselves to protect people from fires of all sizes.

I bet the criminal was some right wing nut job.. probably a member of some sort of 'fire brigade'.. [Tooth]

Classic! A+

Beeho is just such an idealistic moron I could actually picture him doing something like this, or something equally brainless like mandating putting several "safeties" on fire extinguishers that keeps them from being used...

Wow, it'd be worth the rude wake up to have some asshole bring an extinguisher to this fight. [LOL]

I can see using a fire extinguisher as a bludgeon, but to "hold someone at bay"? WTF? I see this going very badly for any copycats that try that with anyone on this forum. At best, they're gonna end up in the ER to get a fire extinguisher removed from their rectum...[ROFL2]

Depends on who the copy-cat is. I'm sure some of us on these forums can eliminate a gun-wielding threat at 100 yards while sprinting and under fire with an extinguisher. Those of us that train, anyway.

Guys, guys, give that criminal a break. He just moved up from the old 'finger gun in the pocket' routine.

Have you ever got a face full of dry chemical shot out of a fire extinguisher? It can be really nasty in your eyes and respiratory system. I could see where it could even be fatal, at the very least it would make any counterattack you make very difficult. I wouldn't blow it off so easily.

I do agree a lot of people could fend off an attack like this but I sure wouldn't dismiss it out of hand. I would tend to think someone using a fire extinguisher would be easily intimidated so any resistance would probably run them off.

I would rather go out trying than just sit there.

Britain has bypassed Orwellian totalitarianism and gone straight to a parody of it.
