There was a beautiful sunset lighting up Mt Bailey this evening. I tried to capture it with a camera but I suck as a photographer. Both pictures were taken from our deck.

Anyway, the first picture is looking due south (about a 180 bearing) towards Mt Bailey. The second, taken 5 minutes later, is looking SSW towards the Kenosha range behind Bailey.

It was raining like crazy over town by that point and the sky had turned quite dark. As a matter of fact, if you look at the ridge that's sloping away on the right side of the first picture, you'll see it continue on the left side of the second picture. So I'd only turned about 35 or 40 degrees towards the west.

I've lived up here 20 years and I'm still amazed how quickly things can change.

+1! It looks like an awesome place to live and there’s a fly shop over there that I’d love to go to.

A fly shop in Bailey? Don't know of one around here. I thought there was a shop in Pine Jct a year or two ago...and the Blue Quill in Evergreen/Bergen Park.

Don't think there's one here, though I could be wrong since I don't fish.

Yea the Blue Quill in Evergreen, I just assumed it was all one big place like Colorado Springs, Widefield, and Security.

Yeah...Evergreen is about 30 mins from Bailey. It's where the uppity mountain folk live!
