Hey guys,

So I know I'm fairly new here and my first post didn't fair well! I really like this site and buy and sell a lot on here and enjoy all the threads and info. So.... I am having my two yr anniversary for my business on Saturday Oct. 1st and am looking for some help!

I don't know how many of you are familiar with the Loveland area but that is where I am located. I would like to set up a fund raiser for troops or families of troops at my open house. I am looking for credible groups to donate to! I need input! I know there are many out there and this is short notice.

I'll put up a total of $500. If you are a member of this forum and bring me a copy of this post and donate 'X' amount of dollars, I will match all donations up to $500! Anything above and beyond goes to the fund! Please don't exploit this as I am a small shop and like all of us live paycheck to paycheck and just trying to do my part!!

I would love to set up donations as far as raffles, but I'm not sure how many people will be there! Had about 100 show up last yr for our 1 yr.

I do custom sheet metal work and coach build cars, a hand made aluminum Porsche we built will be on display. So if you got a car, bring it out one last time before the snow!!

And yes the title is real, Free beer!!

I'm not offering a lot but but every little bit helps!

Contact me here on PM or my website is www.tinelement.com

Thanks guys.
-Neal

Edit
once we land on a donation fund I will post it on my website!

Wounded Warrior would've been my first suggestion, too. Sounds like a great idea.

Oh I could chime in and rattle off all day!
Wounded Warrior Project
Disabled Veterans of America
The Order of the Purple Heart
And my favorite (since I've been a member here the longest):
IAVA- Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America.

But Wounded Warrior Project is a good one since they have the most public recognition. I was thinking of doing a "celebrity bartender" deal at the Woodcellar up here in Evergreen and donating all the proceeds (tips) to WWP.

Sounds like a good reason to bring the truck out and see the work you do. I should be able to make it. [Beer]

So I've checked with some organizations and it's pretty short notice to set up an actual "fund raiser" event. I can always make a cash donation to any organization. I guess for now I will just plan on setting something up for our open house next year. I still encourage all to come, the beer will still be free, and we have a pretty cool man cave! If enough of us show up maybe we could still set up a donation fund and I will still contribute as mentioned in the original post.!

I can't make any guarantees, but if I'm free after work, I'll try to drop by. What's the time window on it?

Don't have a 'cool' car though :(
