i have been waiting on a stripped lower since MAY 4.....its gonna be october im thinking about cancling my order i mean the zombie lowers are cool as hell but i dont think they are 6 month backorder cool........

just wanted to rant cause ive bought like 3 other ars since i placed this order with spikes :(

I think the general consensus around here is that Spike's is pretty awesome...have you tried contacting them between now and when you ordered? Perhaps something got messed up with the order and all it would take to have it on your doorstep next week is a simple detail. I've never dealt with them personally, but I've never heard a bad thing about their customer service...

I've got a Spikes lower on my AR. It's just their run of the mill lower but I had it to my FFL in 5 days maybe. Fairly quick.

Same with me, I actually ordered alot of parts, half came to my house in 3 days, it was 4 days for the lower.

called contacted them via email.....nothing they can do its back ordered.....its just annoying that they took my money in may told me it would be at MOST 8 weeks then still cant get it to me by almost oct at this point.....

I love my Spikes Lower, but the only thing I have to compare it to was my old DPMS. Did you try Bravo Arms on Union? They sell complete Spikes Lowers and stripped ones. I dunno if they have a zombie one or not though.

A good friend of mine just ordered a Sage EBR stock.

He will get it around Nov-Dec.

OP, I wouldnt recommend SBR'ing....ever.

The waiting would make you crazy.

They blatantly gouged their vendors and REQUIRED them to buy their lower receivers at inflated costs in massive quantities in order to continue carrying their products. There are a few other reasons and you can find all with a little searching so I'm not going to turn this into a Spike's piss fest but there are FAR too many options out there to consider one that plays such games IMHO.

Yeah, you'll get people who own their products who likely didn't know before they bought them that will try to defend them or deny it but the simple fact is it did happen, it's well known and (as I already stated) that's just too competitive of a market so support someone who doesn't support the vendors, the consumer (both civilian and government) and the hobby. As far as I'm concerned a lower receiver is a lower receiver and if you're trying to say your Spike's lower is somehow better than my LMT then I will disagree. When everything else is the same save for a few bucks there's no reason to support such actions with your buying dollar. That's just me and I don't expect others to follow my opinions nor do a fault them for going against them. That's the beauty of free market.

the only reason i ordered this lower is cause of the zombie rollmark as far as i know a lower is a lower unless its a pof or another billet one that does something different.....amazingly enough they actually sent me a email saying it would be sent so thats good i guess.....now that i have done some research i wont be buying another spike product thanks jer i dont support price gouging especially since i payed like 1200 for a crappy dpms just before obama took office

also i would have bought from bravo arms (they did everyones glock trigger at my work...lol) but i didnt discover them untill june after i had all ready done my order and they didnt have any zombie lowers in stock so they woulda been in the same boat i was

I have picked up some items from Spike - however; there - we won't tell ya how long it will be back ordered policy has turned me off. The last set of hardware I bought that was SPIKE's - was from Aim Surplus.
