I watched the news and sat through 29 minutes of murders, drunk drivers, gov't wanting to spend more money on crap, and other depressing crap only catch 15 seconds of a US Marine receiving the Congressional Medal Of Honor. 15 FREAKING SECONDS!? NEWS FLASH! That is news, that is good news, that is someone who deserves to be the first story in line.

I am tired of this shit and its the reason why I dont watch the news very often.

I cancelled satellite TV...guy said I could have 6 months free premium channels. No thanks! $80 a month for garbage and lies...

I spent the money on guns, ammo and silver dollars!

I ditched satellite three years ago. Haven't missed it yet.

As for the local news stations it's dumb, dumber and dumbest.

Now I get all my news from this board. [Shock]:D

'splains lots there Pookie[Tooth]

You know we used to be devout 9News viewers since the days of Carl Akers and Stormy Rottmann.
But now it is 3 news stories, pet of the day, Moms like me, Susan G Komen Booby run/walk, 9 who care and OMG it's gonna snow-DANGER-its gonna snow bullshit. Nothing but fluff.
At least Ch 7 puts forth a few more actual news stories.
But yes- Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest.
What about the other channels though?
Anybody else here notice how it seems that each local news team has their token "Light in the Loafers" field reporter?
Blaaaaach!

But Channel 9 does have Corey Rose at least!
Yummy!

The one and few things I like about the oilfield is not having to listen to the local news channels form Denver. We get Direct TV and 99% of the guys I work with out here only watch Fox News (Better then rest but still hate them) and even then I dont watch the news unless I get info from my wife or here of something that happened.
