was in the local fun shop (bison arms) and they had some of these in.
9mm and .40 in compact and a .45 in full size
interesting
lot nicer to hold than a glock
made in USA
and
$400 ($399 to be specific)
I might have to do that, just because.
anyone got one? shot one? reviews?

I've only handled one- it didn't impress me. You get what you pay for, and I don't trust the discount arms, Sig or not.
I carry the P250 subcompact and have it set up for both .357 Sig and .40 S&W.
It is sighted for a combat hold, and has a loooong trigger pull, much like a revolver. The sights and trigger cause many people to shoot low and left until they get the hang of it.
Maintenance is the simplest part of the P250. Stripping the fire control unit down takes minutes and almost no mechanical aptitude. The only draw back at this point is the lack of aftermarket parts. Top Gun Supply and Sig are the best sources I know of for x-change kits and magazines. Sig is really the only source for front sights and the rear sight is integral to the gun.
I think the modular concept will eventually catch on. The Beratta Nano seems to be the newest entry. Just like the Glock polymer when it was new took some time to gain acceptance. I believe the modular pistols will eventually be the next trend.
Like most pistols, you either love it or hate it. I like mine very much. If you would like to give it a spin before you buy one, send me a PM and I would be happy to let you put a magazine or two down range.
Of course, I'm sure there is someone here who would be happy to remind me that my gun is poop[ROFL1]

You obviously know more about it than I do- so I won't say it's poop!!

when I was looking into them, one thing I found interesting was that the P250 is made in the USA... as opposed to most (all?) other SIGs
they have had some consistency and function issues with the triggers- don't know how widespread it is (like Glock Kabooms)
The early production had problems as do most new guns.
If you ever get a chance to see a P250 field stripped, you would see just how simple the design is. The fire control unit is so simple, it's hard to imagine how anyone could make one go off accidentally.

Very nice shooter clean and accurate. Only down side i disliked is the DAO trigger, throwing off second shot follow up. Finally sold it and grabbed a 239 to replace it. I know it takes a few range trips to get use to the DAO, if you never owned one before, it just was not my "style"
I know a few shooters who like the DAO, you may get to like it.

Now the 239- that's a sweet pistol.
I have a Sig 250C in .40.....Better ergos than a Glock, sweetest D/A trigger I have ever shot.
I have shot just about everything and the 250 is one ogf my faves.....And it is inexpensive, but dont let that fool you its a solid handgun.
And......For me its way more accurate than my G23. But thats my opinion.
If you are free this Saturday morning, come see if a 3.6" barrel spitting .357 Sig GDHP will hit a silhouette at 65 yards. (see Swagler's Challenge for more info)
I will have my G22 and P229 as well, but I am more than curious about my P250 subcompact.
Regardless of the results, I will continue to carry my P250. I really like the DAO on this thing. It is almost like shooting my issued revolvers back in the day [Coffee]
I am glad that you posted this, I have been thinking about one of these for a while now and I think that I might jump on it. Let us know what you think if you get one.
