Too bad they can't just let people carry on base. At least CCW holders. I don't like the idea of leaving my life in the hands of the police, and especially not in the hands of MP's or Security Forces.

There is definitely other alternatives to CCW on post though. Just having something CLOSE ENOUGH is key.
It may not be legal but according to regulation I can also get articled for receiving fellatio from my spouse.
Being "legal" didn't save anyone at Fort Hood or Virginia Tech, that's for sure.

My legal interpretation of the Second Amendment is that as law abiding citizens our right to possess firearms are trampled on by city governments, states, various federal agencies and military branches all the time. Priveleged government officials are the bane of freemen every where.
The law is not based on logic, but on experience...

Yeah, if it was the official view of the Gubbemint it would be : "what's a Second Amendment? And the 1st,3rd,4th,5th,6th etc etc. You have no Rights."
