Not involved with this in any way, will not be even able to make it there. Just thought I would let you all know. Looks like a big local gun auction this weekend.

Muchas gracias for the heads up indeed! WOW! 16 Glocks!?

I've never been to an auction before so what can I expect? Is it tough to gauge or do you think there will be dozens of Glock-hungry guys there wanting to snatch up every one of them? I hope I have a shot at one. How much do firearms on average go for at auctions?
would like to go but to far on short notice.

Nice heads up. Thanks
Hope someone goes, and gets a GREAT deal.
But from past experience, most guns usually go from 110 to 150% of retail value at auctions. I have stood in awe, as I watched people bid MORE than new price for a gun at auction.
There are times, like when they were trying to get a bid of $100 on a revolver. I asked to see it, Ruger single six, 99% condition, 3 screw. I bid the $100, and am not sorry.
But I have found that to be the exception, not the rule.
Good luck to anyone going.

I like estate sales that they run like a garage sale most thing you can haggle them down. or if hardly anyone shows up to the auction then you can make out.
I would like to see what the 17L goes for those are hard to get your hands on sometimes. Who ever goes let me know what that sells for and how hard i need to kick myself for not going.
In other terms that bridgport mill would be awsome to own.

I'm going for sure. I've been keeping my eye on these Glocks (and maybe even the SKS, but I don't know if I'll have a shot at that...). Heck, with 16 Glocks for sale I figure I should have a shot at at least a couple of them. The 19, 27 and 23 are on my list!
I'll let you all know how it goes. Should be a learning experience for me at least.

I ended up with nada. I'm really disappointed. I had (as in, wife would be pissed ) to leave early for dinner with my in-laws (mother in laws birthday - joy) and of course that is when the cool guns went up for sale. [angry]
Here's the final prices for the auction. http://www.proxibid.com/asp/Catalog.asp?aid=5144&p=2&srch=search%20this%20auction
Some of the Glocks went for 400, but the two 19's went for $325. They were Gen 2 and in immaculate shape. I still feel sick. One 20 10mm went for $275. Overall really low prices.

Is that a good price for a Nova? I don't know anything about them but I figure $2,100 for a car with only 10,000 miles on it is a nice price?

Ya just never know.
The guy who bought the Nova will probably put a grand or two into restoring it and then sell it at a classic car auction for $25k+
