new parts is the way to go unless your on the road and short on cash (yep had to pull more than one part from a junkyard to get home )

Heater core is a Biatch. local shp charges about 550.00 just for the core.
Rad and water pump another 350. + you need coolant and probably new hoses and belt.

You live in the Points- easy fix for ANY mechanical problem on ANY vehicle.

Purchase full coverage insurance.
"Accidentally" leave the keys in the vehicle.

The rest will take care of itself.[Coffee]

Before you swap the heater core try backflushing it.

The best place down there is Stan's Alignment. Their rates are fair and they have a good reputation. They are off Chester and Colfax. If I can't do it myself, I still use them even though I live in Conifer. The heater core won't be cheap.

Edit: Mike will give you a quote over the phone.

you know the difference between God and a Rigger?

God don't think he's a rigger. [ROFL1]

sorry I'm a squint... I had to.

All that aside.... I'm in cap hill and have a decent set of tools... enough to get the water pump and rad changed out at least... I have a 96 Grand myself... but if you have " the book" ( haynes or chilton) we should be able to do it .. and I agree with the back flush of the heater core unless it is leaking ...

whats the need to change out all this stuff anyways ?

+1 unless you know it is just leaking.

if it is just not getting hot enough this could be it. i flushed the one on my durango and it looked like the rig had puked, heater is nice and hot now.

Try www.radiatorbarn.com and see if you can get a radiator any cheaper. I've used several radiators from them and have never had an issue.
