Hey guys, I do sound for film/video here locally in Denver and a few audio nerd buddies and me have been attempting to record our own gun shot sound effects. Other than trying to find a day that everyone can make it the hardest thing for us has been finding a quite place to shoot. Honestly the only place like this that I can think of would be private land. Unfortunately I do not know anyone with private land that is safe enough for shooting. Anyone one have any ideas or would be willing to invite some audio geeks out to there place. We are hoping for Sunday the 25th.
Any help would be appreciated.

if you go to the back of the park south site would work fine . there could be a team of shooters in the front and you wont hear a thing .but when i say the back of the park i really mean back there . ez to get if you have a 4 wheel drive or a stout pick up truck . no cars at all can get back there.

Anything from .22 pistols to long range rifles. I will have to see if we have a few trucks but thinking a place we can drive into with cars will be better since will will be bringing a bunch of gear. It the south site mountainous or open? IE lots of reflection and echo from mtns or not. Haven't been there yet

Pawnee would work if you want some wind noise along with the firearm sound. It would work really well if you managed to catch a calm day.

in the hills but the park is open so no echo , wind picks up around 230 in the afternoon , but you will need a truck for clearance .
