I have one with a Spikes ST22 upper on and it has been great.

The only thing it will hurt is resale value- don't expect to get $800+ for it when built into a complete, functioning rifle. It will never be worth the same as a "brand name" fully matching rifle, and some will never buy a "Frankenrifle" (made from different brand parts)

There is nothing wrong with them functionally, and I'm one of those that don't care about the brand on it, neither will anything or anyone shot by it.

From what I can tell, the Surplus Arms & Ammo lower is equal to any, and half the price. Perfect for a SHTF rifle that you don't plan to turn over for a quick buck. Next time I find a deal, I'm going to add a couple to my stash.
