That is a nice, big elk. Hope that elk has a successful rut and we get some more just like him.

Impressive at 400+. Not sure I could make that shot. [Tooth]

NOTE: No elk were harmed in the taking of this photo.

Could be a "stunt elk" I hear they use those during shooting to help protect the celebrity elk.

Ok, ok. A a couple of feeble attempts at Saturday morning humor before the day gets into full swing - my apologies but nice pic.

Almost looks like MT. Evans. Were you above timberline looking back down? That's a good pic for 400+....

Good looking bull! Too bad you didn't see the bear from your other thread. I imagine you might want to really shoot that one!

Not only was it a good looking bull, it looks like it was a good place to "shoot the bull!"

It doesn't sound as if he would have needed a telephoto lens for the pic involving the bear swipe at the mirror. I know I couldn't "bear" to take it.

Sorry about that (hope that was thread relevant) - I really should be doing things around the house, but this allowed me to put off doing a load of laundry for another 5 minutes. [Swim]

Easy. Go the visitor center at the top of Trail Ridge Rd and aim down. [Luck]

Got me! While I didn't catch that is was a camera "shot" I was thinking that either

A) you have the longest range bow in the world.

B) the plains look awfully mountainy this time of year.

or

C) you were poaching.

Good one.
