I havent been to a gun show, but have heard and know a bit about them. So i was wondering what gun shows would be worth visiting.

Tanner gun show is this weekend and it is pretty big. $8 or 9 to get in, but there is a coupon for a couple bucks off on their website usually.

A bunch of the guys from here will be there, both as patrons and sellers.

Awesome, what all is offered at the Tanner gun show?

I am pretty certain that some of the other CO-AR15 members here will surely mention "what all is offered" at the Tanner gun shows so I certainly am NOT meaning to discourage in any way going to the Tanner shows as they are still very good shows, but just want to mention that if you are willing to make a LONG drive that is also very worth while, there is the Wannenmacher Tulsa, OK gun show with it's 4,100 table show in November. The long drive really discourages most folks around here in CO from going to that Tulsa show. I'm mentioning this Tulsa show only because you asked "What gun shows are worth going to". I do plan on making the drive to Tulsa in November as I am going to have a table down there in an effort to get rid of some of my seldom used stuff which I won't be mentioning here. So, do try the Tanner show!

The Tanner show has actually gotten better over time. Or the vendors should I say.

It used to be hard to find a good deal there, but as stated there are board members that have tables at the show who have very good prices. Better than any brick and mortar store and if you factor in shipping and transfer fees, a really good price...

Was there this a.m. around 10. WOW was it crowded both for parking and inside. Inside wasn't so crowded you couldn't move around but lots of people.

I was just looking around to see what was new or different.... Nothing that blew me away that I just had to have, but I was tempted!

Yeah, at times the Wanenmachers Tulsa gun show CAN be a bit crowded but you have to consider that these tables are all under one rather large roof which covers eleven (11) acres. No real problem as long as there is no stampede.[Tooth]

Oh, NFW! I'd have to have a golf cart.

Oh, NFW! I'd have to have a golf cart.

It is a big building. Imagine this. In January they build a 1/4 mile dirt track, put up grandstands and still have room for 200+ cars and there trailers inside.[Coffee]I need to go back to the Chili Bowl. ;)

Well, they do offer the use (rentals) of the electric motorized chairs for a few bucks. Have not heard of anyone really getting rundown/run over YET.[Tooth]

This is one of those 'What are do you want?' questions. The Tanner show is a general show. There are gun dealers there that have regular gun stores and dealers that have specialty stores. There are parts sellers. People selling nothing but shooting supplies. Ammo and reloading dealers. There also jewelry people and art people. Surplus dealers are there.

The Colorado Antique Gun Collectors show is once a year about late spring. It is worth going to because of the wide variety of old and unusual guns. It's like going to a gun museum. A lot of the guns are very expensive. The last time I went I started to count the guns with 6 figure price tags but quit at 100 when I wasn't a quarter way into the show. Most of the vender's a friendly and enjoy talking.

One thing that is nice about the shows like the Tanner show is the variety of guns. There are a lot of different guns that you can handle in one spot. It gives you a chance to narrow down the choices without running all over. You need to know pricing on anything you buy. There can be a wide range of prices on the same item between sellers. You don't have to buy anything if you don't want to.

The SAR show in Phoenix in December is the out-of-state show that I lust for. It's held as a extension of a regular show. It is a NFA oriented show.

if nothing else you can see a lot of nice firearms, some at good pricess and some at not so good prices. I get the "stink eye" from some dealers there because my (I think) have good to great prices on my table (row 11 north) and my prices are usually lower than others. I belive in making a profit from volume selling.

You should always get a friendly welcome at my tables. A lot of the folks here on this forum come and buy at my tables and also just come by to say hello. check out http://ccwgunsonline.com/ for prices and then come by and say hello.

I think we stopped by your table Sunday around noon looking at pocket 380's for my wife, but I forgot to watch for specific vendors, save one other. I couldn't get a yes or no out of her on anything, so we left after seeing everything we thought we could. I only bought a couple pmags that were priced fair.

Do you have your table assignment locations yet? If you don't care to post the locations, a PM would be great. I just received my "early in" pass (the 10AM one)earlier this week. Thanks.

I beleive I bought my M&P Compact from you before I was a member here. It was funny at Tanner a guy about 5 booths over from you was $100 more for the same pistol. I was looking not handling it and he said would you like to buy it. I said no thank you, not for this much money. He went on some rant about hard to get blah blah blah, but could come down $10. I said thanks but no thanks I can walk 50 feet and save $100[LOL]

In looking at your website listing are your Glock27's Gen3 or Gen 4 ?
