Anybody who patrols I25 on a motorcycle in that area must clank when he walks.
Hoping he's OK.

Bunch of folks get off of work around those hours. I know one or two that probably aren't above getting behind the wheel after they've had a few.
A good definition of "You're Fawked"
Drunk at 9:30am
Diving drunk at 9:30am
Hitting a cop

while I personally feel bad for the guy as a rider and a person.
I simply don't really feel bad for the cop
(from 9news) "Thornton Police say one of their officers was doing traffic enforcement in the 8900 block of I-25 when he saw a vehicle speeding. They say the motorcycle officer then turned on his lights and sirens and entered the northbound lanes of the highway."
And why is the city of Thornton doing revenue enhancement on I-25? This affects safety inside the city how??
Because they always are
they sit under the overpass so you can't see them as you come down the hill northbound and then zoom out into traffic causing everyone to slam on the brakes and this section of road to jam up (because it's a really steep hill in a semi truck).
And they are ALWAYS there.
Really?
this is a valuable public service? And is the guy really drunk or did he just not see a little motorcycle pulling out into traffic (I ride, people don't see you, happens all the time). All the MSM seems awful quick to assign blame just because a guy hit a black and white motorcycle. (and he could have been drunk, but it's still accused not proven.
if it wasn't a cop would the MAJOR NORTH SOUTH THOROUGHFARE THRU DENVER be shut down FOR HOURS? (on the same day that I-270 is also closed)
No
We'd all be on here saying "do stupid things win stupid prizes"
Sorry, my give a damn is busted.

I will agree that the locall law enforcement officers have a habit of "hiding" and Zooming out in front of traffic at the last minute.
I have seen an accident caused by this and I Have a family member that was involved by an accident caused by this.
Now, I wasn't at THIS particular event, but I would not be at all surprised if this too was the case.
ON That note, I hope everyone is OK.

I would say that the tactic of hiding and then suddenly trying to get into speeding traffic on a motorcycle is dangerous at best. I have seen this nearly happen way to many times in that area. If anyone other than the police did this it would be called reckless endangerment.

Not a big fan of speed traps.
I drove to Baggs, WY via I70 to Silverthorne, North on HWY 9 to Kremmling then HWY 40 thru Steamboat to Craig and then north on HWY 13. I saw over 15 cops and CHP on the route. Pure bullshit all the speed traps they are running.
