[Train] Just my opinion. A UJM is just that. Not to be confused with anything else and a quality and economical ride as they are.

I don’t have any bikes, but I think it looks pretty cool.

I do agree with you on that aspect i would much rather have an old guzy or triumph but I am a cheap bastard and figure i can get the look doing the work besides the seat myself for a bout a grand total including the bike

I don't own a bike, but it looks incomplete the way you want it. Looks more like a restoration or repair where the owner needed a lift before he could finish it.

[ Hey it is what ever you want to ride, I think cafe racers are cool but I am more of a bare bones chopper guy, but like I said man you have to ride it suzuki makes a good bike, I do like the idea of a cruiser with crotch rocket power. I have been trying to up the HP on my custom intruder. One of my first bike was a Suzuki like that it was a gs 850 e I loved the gear indicator.

I love some of the old bikes. I want to get a old Kawasaki KZ1100. I would love to run it at the strip.

I am curious as to how my lanky 6'4" frame will look on it.

What makes a cafe cruiser? From what I can tell from pictures, it is uncomfortable looking handle bars and seats, and less fairings.

I really like the "cafe racer" look having seen those type of bikes when I was in high school back in the late 70s, nothing like an RD350 thats been converted to a cafe racer.

I'd love to build one!

Just be in the wind and ride safe my friend.

And if you need some help or ideas give us a call.
we chopped an 02' HD sporty and made a rigid bobber that now gets alot of looks.
2 bike cops came up on each side of me and said nice bobber before leaving.

When the timing is right (and there is a little extra room in the garage) a "cafe racer" is on my short list or two-wheeled acquisitions. Nothing wrong with the Jap bikes, but I will most likely go with a Triumph or a BSA.

Chicks dig them too. [Coffee]

Not a cafe style bike, but this is a Honda CB750 I was working on for a while.

Here was my Sportster with some low bars on it.

Started to make a cafe project out of this one a couple of years ago but never got it totally done. Can't seem to find the "after" picture with the chopped exhaust and the low bars.

Really the only thing I might have issues with is the rear cowl I do not have access to an English wheel and making the seat look good

I had a 79 Triumph that I bought new. The CAFE style is comfortable at speed. The wind lifts and balances your chest and helmet weight. A tank bag is helpful.
I upgraded to a Moto Guzzi T-3 and put about 100K on it with a Don Vesco fairing.

I've never been bit by the motorcycle bug (like my brother and dad have) ... but I really like the look of the bobber/cafe racer bikes.

My dad is currently building a naked Gold Wing into a bobber/ cafe racer type bike.

Will look like this when he's done with it.
