So I have a plum crazy lower and was looking at cheap uppers, I will be using cheapest ammo just for plinking at med range, want a 5.56, what is the best to go with?

Twist 1:9 or 1:7, brl- 16" or 20"
first ar just looking for complete upper to make a low cost shooter, thanks.

Del ton is like 375 with forward assist and dust cover. They do take a while to ship tho I'm on my 7th week of waiting so far

I would not even be thinking of twist rates. Your 1:7 is just fine.

Primarily fending off the zombies, I've been thinking 1:9 twist with 20 inch brl, because most cheap ammo is 55gr.

Does that include a BCG and charging handle?

no it doesnt, and now up to $275, I found some completes for 375 on a different site. Can anyone beat that for complete upper?

Where and how much was your bcg and charging handle you put on that?

I grabbed an RRA bcg and ch from a guy on AR15.com that sells new parts-USA gold is his name iirc. paid maybe 130 total shipped

nice I ended up going with, a dpms sportical complete upper for $359 16" chrome molly, its basic but cheap with good reviews, 1:9 twist no sights. Anyone have experiance with this one?

Ya bought it now so you get to have the experience. Do report back with your findings. [Coffee] I do know many would like to have a good upper that does not cost an arm and a leg.

Yeah i will, it comes complete with bcg and charge handle, but doesnt come with dust cover, forward assist, or shell deflector, if i decide I need them I think I can always add. I fugured it was the cheapest by 50 bucks cause the rest you have to add bcg and charge.

wow that was fast already received upper, fit together with no problems or tools, really light too. looks good, but no way to upgrade to attach the dust cover, or the other 2 items
