This is the 4th attempt by the government to stimulate the economy. TARP (Bush) failed and Quantitative Easing I and II (Obama) failed unless you're a top tier Wall Street financier.

President Zero's jobs bill will remove money from your pocket, dilute it, and then redistribute it to groups that Obama favors, in this speech the favorites appear to be the the Teachers Union and the construction racket.

The biggest employer in the United States is small business. If President Zero were to reduce regulations and taxes on business then there would be an incentive to start new businesses and try out new ideas in the marketplace. Right now the only companies with the money and manpower to work through the red tape are Corporate America.

I had the displeasure of listening to his spewage today. 20+ minutes of outright lies. I counted 26 times "Pass this Bill", damn near yelling it.
Paraphrasing:
"Everybody deserves the chance to succeed, I couldn't have without student loans and financial aid"
He has not released any of his college records so to me he has no credibility on this statement.

"This bill will get construction workers back to work with highway and bridge jobs"
Okay, but when the project is complete guess what-back to the unemployment line.

"We need our students to be able to compete in a global economy"
True, but why won't you let the US excel in a global economy?

"Everybody here will get an extra 1700.00 next year"
And the following year we will have to claim it as income plus we will pay it back in spades because of Oblama care.

An interesting point was brought up by a radio jock- passage of this bill will eliminate the tax write off for charitable contributions. This will cause direct harm to charities because people will no longer contribute, not if they are going to get taxed on it.

Piece of work he is........................

Plus I got caught on I-25 for 40 minutes waiting for his happy ass.

Hmm- he came to Denver to give a 20 minute speech and then went right back to Buckley and adios.
Wonder how much his speech cost us in tax dollars?

Best part was his gaffe in reference to Federico Pena- "My former friend" lol.

There was a caller on the Mike Brown show last night that had some numbers on the cost. The swing through Washington, Commiefornia, and Colorado(?) cost what it will cost to fund out-of-money FEMA for the rest of the year.

By the way, according to the security badges for obama tour, we have moved to Wyoming.-

Nahh- we are just the "57th" state[ROFL1]

Does that mean no state tax then???????????

Yes Virginia, they really are that big of idiots.

Even better than that, and no offense to those in construction here, but have any of you folks driven through a section of road "improved" by the American Reinvestment projects? At best, you don't notice a difference. At worst (and more commonly) the road is chip sealed and develops more potholes, sometimes ending up worse than it was before, with tree trunk sized speed bumps at either end of the construction. Not a fan of the gov't work I've seen so far, or the pace at which it proceeds...

Wonder how much his campaign stop cost us in tax dollars?

Agreed

I have a drainage canal on my street that was recently worked on with all the signs and shit. The good: it looks pretty. The bad: drainage is worse and anytime it rains the whole fucking street floods. Can't wait to see some snow melt carrying my car away [Beer].

The up side of the bill is LAWSUIT. I'm going to school to be a lawyer at least 10 years of job security right there. Seriously sue because you didn't get a job.

Reading somewhere that they had a hard time giving away the 1000 tickets to his speech today!

Just thought about this. New jobs could be created by paying the folks that come out to listen to him. :)

Peter Boyles is playing a cut from a 9news interview of some high school 'students'.

The 'students' think they are entitled to a job. They are in for a rude awakening unless they get jobs with the gubbermint.

I read that this morning- big 'ol bunch of steaming bullshit. If I were the head of a company that refused to hire someone and they tried to file suit against me for "discrimination" guess what? I'd file a counter suit (because I know that someone who's unemployed can afford a damn good lawyer) and ruin their existence.

But they are entitled to a job, just ask anyone who works at MEPS! "Sign here sir and you have a job for at least 8 years!"
