Do they deliver?
Sounds like the dock may take up Cherry Creek though.
I figure we take the boat and the barge, sell the barge to some environmental group that would sink it for coral reef, and use the cash to upgrade those computers to Windows 9 frickin 8 and spend the rest on beer and diesel. Keep it somewhere nice like Houston, and take it out and tear up the f'n Gulf.

Yeah, what barge? I think the original poster was calling the ship itself the "party barge".
Either way, I'm in. I'm too old and married to know a large number of "healthy", morally flexible young ladies, but I feel like this is the first order of business after we find somewhere to dock the S.S. Screw Pelosi.

In order to qualify for the free boat, you have to take it's moveable barge as well. It's in the article.
I think the barge is something like twice the size of the ship, so it's been a no go for any naval museums who it has been offered to.

Either way, count me in! I can't cook, so don't ask me to be the ship's cook... I can't clean so don't ask me to swab the deck ye landlubbers, but dammit if I can't play video games pretty damn well so I guess I can be the helmsman... I can drive anything with wheels (and many others without).

Seriously, how the hell does nobody want this thing? I mean sure you need to take the barge with it, but damn you know how much cash you could get at the scrap yard for that?
That is what I'm thinking. Take the minelayer and the Sea Shadow, then just sell or donate the minelayer to a scrap company.
Unless it's a Navy stipulation that they MUST remain together...

The only problem I foresee so far is that records aren't accurate with regards to capacity. Wikipedia says a crew of 4 and 14 knots. FAS.org says a crew of 10 and top speed of 10kts.
