HOA will probably enact something. I wouldn't give a shit what the HOA said. The law is the law and I would drop a trophy elk if I saw it on my property. They can submit a complaint to the HOA and I will either take the warning, pay the fine, or give them the finger.

unfortunately for me, I don't live near elk or really have any wildlife on my property other than rabbits which my English setter kills if they make it in the back yard.

Who gives a shit how many shots it takes, lead and powder are cheap...

"the elk sometimes sleep here" Yeah, they sometimes sleep in my freezer too!

I once took 5 well placed shots with a .338 Mag to harvest a trophy class bull, it aint easy. Damn things dont give up easy like the cull bulls do.

Am I missing something? I can only see the first couple paragraphs of the article.
On another note, its never taken me 5 shots to drop any kind of game at any range. Guy needs to practice a bit IMO.
