I'd love to come and see any of you awesome CO-AR15 guys and finally meet some face to face. So I'm curious, who's vending at Tanner on the 15/16 of this month? Who's going? I'm thinking of stopping by for a few hours on the 15th...

There always seems to be a small group of us hanging out at Alxone's table and preventing people from seeing and buying his stuff. It really is best to come in the afternoon after say 2pm or maybe even a little later. The crowd really starts to thin after 3pm. Much more enjoyable then and easier to shop, get some deals and shoot the breeze. It is really just tooo busy before 2.

DSB outdoors always says he's going, then gets distracted by some stupid bull elk or something like that. He's full of.... well something.

If a bunch of us meet up there near Alex' table- we HAVE to remember that he is there to sell the stuff on his table and NOT block passersby access to his table!!!!!!!!!!!!! If there are 2 or 3 of us standing in front of his table, people won't try to squeeze around us to see what's on his table, they'll just walk on by.

Thanks sneakerd. That is a very thoughtful/considerate suggestion. I wish more folks in the aisles would take heed!![Beer]

Yeah the stupid bastards moved alxone. Hopefully I'll see and meet a couple of people.

I'll be in the northwest quadrant, on the aisle directly north from the bathroom.

I can tell you absolutely that there have been several instances where a guy with a table has lost a sale from me. Once for sure a gun sale- because of a bunch of non-business shoot-the-breeze guys right in front of his table. Yes- I could say "excuse me" and then get quick access. But I'm weird, I don't do that. I know that I don't "need" the item or even the gun. I "want" it. So I'll stand right there off to the side, next in line so to speak to look at the table. I'll stand there with an obvious look on my face- clearly indicating that I would like to look at something blocked by the bodies of a couple of chit-chatters. If after a literal 3 or 4 minutes, (just count to 180), I just walk away. There's plenty of other stuff to look at, and maybe I'll find something at somebody else's table, and I usually do. I remember specifically a Tanner show a year or so ago, a guy had on his table a nice S&W 4" K-frame .22. I had it in hand once and gave it a good lookover, put it down and came back twice later, both times standing there waiting longer than I was willing to. If the gun had gotten back in my hand that day, I would have bought it. I was on my way out the last time. Just trying look at it from the other side.

I will be there with some great deals, just sold a Ruger SR1911 that came in and I started with the waiting list from May of this year. It went for $645.00 and the next one will be mine (perks of owning the biz). will have LC9s for $345.00 (cash price). Just a note to those new commers, you should bring cash for the best deals.

i'd echo sneakerd's comments--tables where folks are BSing don't even get a look from me. If you're not there to buy something, you're wasting this guy's time and costing sales.

of course, i don't know the guy and he may genuinely enjoy endlessly and politely talking to people with no intention of buying anything at the expense of making a sale at a show where's he's paid to have a table.

I echo 'bring cash' if you want to deal, I think the ATMs at MM charge a usage fee. People aren't so willing to negotiate when they have to add the costs of credit card processing to the transaction and alot of people simply don't take credit cards.

I think maybe I got a little carried away on this. Don't want to discourage people from meeting up and/or hanging out at Alex's table. Just want folks to be conscious of why he's there.

Any venders taking consignments? I don't feel like walking around all day with a "For Sale" sign sticking out of a barrel!

Individuals (NON-FFL dealers) might take one of your guns and place it on their table but any FFL dealer should really be careful of this as they legally would have to enter the GUN (IF you want to leave a gun on their table for consignment) into their bound book. If it doesn't sell at the show, then LEGALLY you would have to go through the background check to get your own gun back. It's a real can of worms doing the consignment thing. IMHO
If you find an individual (NON-FFL dealer) willing to place your gun on their table, someone could want to buy it and the table holder could just locate you and you could make the deal with the potential buyer. Of course, the background check would still have to be made if this happens at a Colorado gun show.[Bang]

this is what i was gonna offer (seeing as im not a gun dealer in any respect) , he can just toss me a few bucks if it sells as rent or something but im not doing the paper work on a gun thats not mine . but to be honest he will have better luck finding a buyer if he just walks it around .

Come by early to get any deals. Otherwise, come by in the afternoon to shoot the breeze. Guys usually sell more in the mornings and talk in the afternoon.

Is it an early OR late thing?

Last one we went Sunday mid-day, and while it was busy, seemed some dealers had some really good deals on (new) guns. Maybe because they didn't want to load back up?

Last month on Saturday I went when it opened.. there were some good deals. However no one was budging on there prices that were not sweet deals. I came back before they closed and most of the guns were still there that I tried to get them to budge and some stations had new workers. I went up asked if they would take $$ off and they did not think about it, they just said yes.
So it depends what you are looking for and what you find. If the price is already low it will be gone before sunday and before Saturday night. I went for a 30-30 in the morning which there was a lot of them, but none that I found to be awesome deals..

Generally it seems that most of the new gun prices don't change. Used guns priced well will go first. For new guns, everyone sells off the same cost, so they don't generally give many killer sales on new guns. But I always go Saturday, so can't speak for Sunday.
