I'm interested in it. Should I read Patriots first?

I would. The story takes place at roughly the same time. Two characters from the first book are in the second one.

My brother ordered a couple copies for us. I'm gonna have to wait till he gets back from vacation to get it though. I would definately suggest reading Patriots first.

Ordered the Kindle version last night. Just started it. I really liked "Patriots" and may have to read it again.

80% read on my Kindle so far...
#1 lesson learned so far...I need to keep some silver on me at all times while traveling...
I travel out of state every week and it scares this **** out of me that something might happen while I'm gone and I won't be able to get back to my family.

One of the most poorly-written books I've ever suffered through. Some good information, but as a novel, it failed miserably.

Picked up Survivors today. Enjoyed Patriots, so I have high hopes for this one.

Finished a couple of days ago. It is only half a book. You will see what I mean when you get to "the end".
Thanks for the heads up. I just finished Patriots last weekend... interesting read. While Rawles's writing style is sometimes a bit-over-the-top he sets forth interesting possibilities as well as many tips, tricks, and general knowledge.

The next one is supposed to be released in 2012. I suspect it was written as a whole and then cut in half by the editor. It's all about the money [Tooth]. Kinda ironic, isn't it?

Very poorly written and very very repetitive on some topics. I'm glad I didn't pay for this book.

I just got this at the library and finished it over the weekend. I truly enjoyed Patriots, but have to agree with others...Book is poorly written. Too many storylines that are not developed (Seed lady, La Fuerza, the provencial Gov't group) and don't go anywhere. The end of the book seemed like he was tired of writing and just stopped.

Looking forward to reading the new book, when it is available for free.

This book was like Caddyshack 2, compared to the first book.
There are parts were it appears to be a different person writing.
He's writing a 3rd book now, and I'll probably buy it just for the entertainment value. Hopefully 'Survivors" was the sophomore blues and
the new book will be better...

Still better than watching the "news" and "HOPE"ing for all to be well.
Is Patriots much changed from The Grey Ninties or Triple Ought? I always liked "When Autumn Leaves Fall" better.

This is excactly what I think. Not a bad read, but he's getting awards any time soon. But his stories do make you think about things.
