Well, I guess the weather man nailed this one

I have about 14 inches or so on my back porch handrail.

So maybe a little less, maybe a little more.

I'm off this week, so if work gets a snow day, I'll be pissed [poke] .

Time to break out the snowblower.

Then it'll be time to break out the truck and get some snow training

Still just slush up here.

Only place it's sticking at all is north facing lawns.

I just took the tape measure on to the patio.

Just over 6" on the railing, and it's still coming down.

i have drifts over 48" at this point. a friend of mine thought he would try out his 4x4 and is now waiting for search and rescue to save him. by the way he is not great at thinking ahead. by the sounds of my scanner he is not the only one. it sounds like its about 20 cars deep waiting to be rescued.

The sun is out.

Whatever didn't melt instantly is going fast now.

Not bad. I was hoping for more, and sooner. Went to work, was there an hour then told to go home. Can't say it was a wasted trip since I got to try out my 'new' 4x4 on the 4 mile drive. Worked like a charm, but I wasn't going crazy with it either. ...at least not this time! I only saw 3 vehicles out of commission: one stranded with a dead engine, one spun off the road, and one just stuck due to low ground clearance. Y'all be safe!

Too bad the ground was warm, and the forecast is nice for tomorrow. I want a real blizzard.

Hard to tell how much is drift, and how much is ordinary accumulation. Went out earlier to walk around and thought about driving somewhere for fun, but hearing all the action on the scanner I would feel guilty. Lots of stranded people out there waiting for help.

Power flickerd a bit this morning, nothing like that since lunchtime.

the national gaurd just got involved to help stranded people, and my friend is still stuck. he is tring to sucker me in to trying to save him. even the plows are getting stuck. if it looks like he might have to stay the night, i might have to fire up the snowmobile. but it would be 40 mile round trip and i'm too warm in front of the fire place.

It's like it never happened in Loveland. Streets are pretty much dry and no snow anywhere. I even put my dogs outside for some sunshine. Too bad, I like snow.

Other, Than the Normal idiots, the drive wasn't too bad. Wasn't bad until around 9:30 then the wind shifted and it came in through the open doors. Stayed that way for abut 90 min. After the wind stopped it was fine. the worst part was walking through the muck. about 4-5"

I go to school @ RRCC up in Lakewood, so normally my commute sucks but today was unbeliveable. Traffic on Wadsworth was so bad it took 40 minutes to get one block. I finally wound up taking a shortcut that got me to Flatirons Mall then I went up interlocken to highway 93.

The drive back was ok though; it seemed like most of stuff on the road melted.

Help is on the way... I found a St Bernard tied a pack of Cheesy Brats to his neck and pionted towards Woodland park.

Oh no the dog stopped at the end of the driveway and ate the Cheesy Brats. [roll]

Hope help comes soon.

They got the road plowed so I tried to get out. I didn't make it. My car is stuck in my driveway now. I pillaged my cupboards for anything resembling food. I came up with a few packs of Ramen Noodles, a few packs of dried soup, a jar of peanut butter and a loaf of bread. So I guess I'm eating PB&J's and soup until the snow melts more. I seriously hope it's soon. Karl.
