SWEET! Very nice choices.
Shoot the hell out of it!
Looks good!! Now you need to get out there and shoot it
Never done.....
Do you have any extra parts? Be careful they turn into more rifles. They spawn like Prairie Dogs.

I decided to not let video bias stop me from buying one. I havent shot it yet, but my intial impression is that they are not top quality. Troy makes great rails, and sights, but their polymer products are lacking I think. I saw the new Del Ton trx AR last week. It has the trx rail, their battle ax stock and their mag. The stock wobbles more than any other I have ever seen.
With the mag it feels flimsy, even the finish is a bit crappy. Still have a lot of flash from molding on it. I'm going to do some tests on one and see what happens. I'll post a review when I'm done.

To me that was a dumb test lets see them run over the gun. I would like to see real world testing like shooting them, get them wet, dusty, muddy, greasy, heat them up,ect but running them over and doing burnouts on them is just plain dumb and it should have been done on a more controlled surface shuch as concrete. IN MY OPINION TROY MAGS ARE A GOOD PRODUCT AND THE FIT AND FINISH IS GOOD JUST DONT RUN IT OVER WITH YOUR TRUCK DUMBASS

jesus dude, theyre just magazines, you dont have to get all butthurt about them running your favorite one over...
I have an idea (and I mean this in all seriousness), why dont you run a torture test on battlemags? Put a couple through the grinder so you can prove their durability. I think that would be something fun to watch.
(nice rifle btw, I had mine almost exactly the same when I first did it. solid first build)

Took some video today of a aimple, real world test on both troy and pmags. My computer is having a hard time with it, so it is not ready to post. Simple test, that anyone can do.
I loaded both mags with the same ammo, full 30 rounds of 55 gr .223. And dropped them to concrete from rifle height. Once vertical with feed lips up, once horizontal, and once verticwl feed lips down. Both magazines lost rounds when dropped feed lips down. Both magazines were cracked on the same drop. In the real world, the most that would happen to most of us is losing a full magazine from rifle height.
The troy list three rounds and cracked down the spine of the magazine. The pmag had a very small crack at the rear if the right side feed lip. Would i use either mag after the tedt, probably. Would I have faith in the pmag that is cracked, i think I would. But the troy mag is cracked much worse and I feel it will fail sooner. I didn't even get to shoot out of wither mag, they were both bought new for this test.
Both would be fine for normal use, they are both polymer mags, which can fail. Even USGI mags would have destroyed feed lips after the drop they took.
The truck test is a joke, it is something that would probably never happen. But to call bull**** on its results is not fair. Both mags were burnt out on, the pmag twice, the troy suffered catastrophic failure, the pmag didn't. That is the point.
I will post live and vid when I get back home.

I'm not butthurt about it and pmags are actually my favorite magazine I love magpul products I just think that is a dumb test and tells me nothing. If you have a nice video camera I can use I would be more than willing to torture test the mags, all I have is my cell phone camera and it sucks.
