View Full Version : DuraCoat 1st attempt
Tried a three tone S@W 915: ArticGrey, Grey Wolf, Socom
Thought I would give this a shot, what do you think?
I have about 7 colors to work with, I just dont know what
to do next...
Looks cool! I like the accent color for the mag release, baseplate, etc.

That looks pretty cool... does it feel a little heavier after dura coating it? Regardless... it looks cool! [Beer]
Can't tell any difference, weight wise.

That looks pretty darn good to me. How hard/easy was it to do?
How hard/easy was it to do?
Not to bad really, its like painting a car but on a much smaller scale.
Preperation is the thing, it takes longer to get it ready than to do the deed.
Airbrush is the way to go, dont get in a hurry, light coats, which I didn't do. I got in a bit of a hurry because it wasn't laying down the way I thought it should. Follow the instructions.
Thanks for the input everybody.
DANGERTASTIC!

Loks good man.
One suggestion, try to put it in some filtered sunlight when you take the pics.
You get alot more detail and the colors come out a little better.
Pics look good. The direct sunlight bleaches it a bit too much.

Westy,
Looks good! You PM'd me on the G17 I just recently did. What colors did you end up going with?

Cool, post a pic or two in a few months, I am curios to see the wear.
Colors were Artic Grey & German Flecktam Gray, but I think the Flectam looks green. Tried to copy your Glock 17, Tinelement thought it looked bad ass.
Thanks
I loved Tinelement's Glock also. I'm just scared lol
Pye, dont be scared, go for it
