View Full Version : Building a mil-spec 1911 and want to get it engraved
I am going to build my own mil-spec 1911 and I would like to have it engraved with UNITED STATES PROPERTY M1911A1 U.S ARMY on the frame, but I want it to look authentic. Does anyone know were I could get engraving like that done to were it would look original. I am actually going to try to make an exact copy of my friends Singer, so I will need to have the slide engraved as well. And no I am not going to try to pass it off as a real Singer, I think there is a special place in hell for people who try to pass off fake Singer builds. I just want one for show, and maybe shooting. Thanks for your input.

Sounds like a project only someone with a lot of money to throw away would start.

Just stay away from GunSmoke. I would not let them touch a BB gun, I would get it back with a giant gunsmoke logo etched into it, not to mention it would probably not work right.
Sounds like a project only someone with a lot of money to throw away would start. It is a project I plan on working on for a while. I have a G.I 1911 I am going to change into a tactical 1911 and I will use alot of the parts from that build for this one. I already have a slide with no name brands on it and now I am looking for a frame the same way.
