What is brass worth? I know certain calibers fetch a bigger price than others but just curious on how some people price theirs. We will say just plain jane non nickel, non processed, range pickup brass.
9mm
40S&W
45ACP
357 mag
38special
etc
223/5.56
30-06
7.62/.308
etc
Just curious to see what the going rate is.

The only brass I kind of covet is 38 super and .308. Most LC .308 is once fired machine gun brass. Some military brass is actually the same volume as commercial.
Head stamp is important for me in the rifle but not so much in the pistol. I think you might look at Hoser and G_fred for current prices. My last .223 was $50 per K for once fired unprocessed and my last .308 was $80 per K for processed. Some ideas. http://www.co-ar15.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47247

check on gunbroker to see what prices are going for processed and unprocessed and go from there. .223 unprocessed once fired crimped usually is about $70 per 1000.
9mm is about $40 per k. 38 special 40-50 per k. I'm a cheapskate, so I buy low if at all possible. Prefer same or similar headstamps per 1000 if I buy and I like to process my own usually.
my 2 cents.
