My daughter just walked into the living room and said "Dad, cancel my
allowance immediately, rent my room out, throw all my clothes out of
the window, take my TV, and stereo, and iPhone, and iPod, and my
laptop.
Please take all of my jewelry to the Salvation Army or Cash
Converters. Then sell my new car, take my front door key away from me
and throw me out of the house.”
Then disown me and never talk to me
again. And don’t forget to write me out of your will and leave my share
to my brother.
Well, she didn't put it quite like that ... she actually said ...
"Dad, I have decided to work for President Obama's re-election
campaign."
I got the joke and laughed, then I hoped like hell you weren't serious.

if there's a teenage daughter involved, there could be that much drama[LOL]
I can SO totally see this if her "boyfriend" was a lib- where did I leave that zombie preparation plan?

You made every effort to raise her right but you still have to ask yourself as a parent, where did I go wrong?
I had a similar experience when I came home before PCS to Fort Drum, NY...
I walked into the house after pulling into the driveway and my brother came up to me and said "Dude, I have this DVD you need to watch, it's crazy! It's called Loose Change and it..." I didn't let him finish. I just smiled and said: "If you believe that bull scheiße then I have an M16 I'd like you to suck start... no brother of mine is falling into that pitfall, thus I will disown you!"
Fast forward 4 years he is a very good republican! He knows the 9/11 truthers are so full of it we can fertilize the US for 20 years on just one claim of theirs.

I'm blessed. My daughter joined the Young Rebulican club her first week of college.
She proceeded to write a paper for one of her classes on the negative economic impact of gun control measures. Her professor of all things was an old jarhead and gave her an A+ and a standing ovation after her presentation.

Now I'd like to read this paper... she sounds like someone dad can be real proud of. I'll disown any child of mine if they become democrat, and people wonder why I'm so reluctant to have children.
Side note- if you have issues with your kids listening to the lib tard teachers just say what Derek Vinyard's dad said in American History X: "Read the material, study, ace the test, just don't swallow everything they feed you."

So I ask myself about my own daughter, "is 7 to young to start listening the Beck, Wilkow, Hannity?"
Maybe I'll just run conservative radio in her room while she sleeps.

Yep Dads proud. Some times no matter how bad you screw up things still come out well. All out of college and working. One down one more to go.
She visits the site so watch your language, please.
The youngest is 13, another girl. Likes reading some of the post here. I don't give her total freedom on the site as some threads get out of hand.
A lot of you played a role in raising my girls and didn't even know it!
Hang in there Tmleader03 some periods are absolutely dumbfounding but they eventually find there way as to who and what they're going to be. Road can be a little rough at times.

I have to tell myself that almost every time I turn in an assignment for my college classes.

My almost 15 year old daughter is smart enough to know that the dems want to ruin this country. [Beer]

If kids are given both sides of the story they figure out the truth pretty fast. A few years ago when my daughter was about 8 or 9 she was watching the news with me and they were going on about raising taxes on small business. After the segment was over she said "Dad if the government keeps taking money away how will anybody have a job if all the businesses have to give all their money to the government". I just kind of looked at her in amazement. She gets it and she has asked many more questions like that over the years.
She doesn't have an active interest in politics. It is surprising what kids will talk about in school or in class. She does go to a private Christian school so they are given a lot more latitude in what they can talk about. Not a whole lot of political correctness going on in classroom discussions or on the playground.
If an 8 year old kid gets it how come an adult lib doesn't get it or the occupy Wall Street crowd can't figure it out?

This is why we need more social science classes in Highschool with non-bias datas, not those sissy newpaper/internet "current event" social science.
I think Soph year should cover more of intro to Econ, Sociology, Poli Sci, and other social sciences. Jr year should cover 1 more math besdies trig,alg,pre-calc, calc, and add basic stats classes.
JR and SR year should cover those Social SCIENCE as a social science, not those media bias crap that cover Current Events.
School should educate the child correctly , and not based on biasness that media current events talk about.
