Ahhh. Camp Guernsey. Actually I was just there last night trolling around the skies on NVGs. Great place to play.
With all the bombing ranges and shot up and bombed out stuff, that should make for some killer matches.

Good chance I will... as long as I am in town.
Or, if there is airdrops that weekend, I might go up anyway and cover the drop zones. Being sure to take both the dogs and a shotgun for pheasants.
Whenever I stay up there I crash at the Bunkhouse Hotel. Nice little place just on the west side of town.

Crap. Let me see if I can get someone to take my place so I can go up to Wyoming.
I just got confirmation that we will be using the Convoy Ambush course. This means we will be shooting off my hummer at reactive targets.

You guys missed one hell of a match. If you want to see some video I footage from the vehicle convoy ambush course.

The pupose for using the Vehicle Convoy Protection Course was to allow competitive 3 gun shooters a chance to experience shooting from a moving vehicle under controlled conditions of course length and computer-scored targets. Similar courses of fire have only been rarely done in competition. We were also interested comparing competitive 3-gun shooters scores on the course with known scores from active personnel engaged in training on the Convoy Protection Course. Lastly we wanted to allow competitive 3 gun shooters who participated in the match stage to discuss and share any techniques, tips or tricks that they formulated for increasing hit potential on targets from a moving vehicle with U.S. personnel at Camp Guernsey or any shooting event hosting U.S. Armed Forces personnel (Fort Benning AMU 3-Gun Match, etc.)
Camp G.....btdt!
why is all the fun stuff so far away?

CG is about as far for Springs-ites as Raton is to use Fort Collinsers... not super far and totally worth it for the shooting we get.
I was up at Guernsey today. 7th SF is going to be in town playing games. I might have talked a few of the Bragg knuckle draggers into coming out.
We airdrop those guys in Saturday night. I should know more then.
CG is a nice place, shot there several times durring my time in the .mil.
I just wish it wasn't so far away.
All,
If you are planning on attending barring bad weather to the Guernsey match please follow the instructions on the front page of http://www.coloradomultigun.com and send me an email confirming your attendence. Currently no one has preregistered letting us know how many are planning on attending. If we don't get any interest we will have to cancel the match. It is different if you are planning on attending, but the weather keeps you away with the new storm pending on thursday. Please let us know.

I am planning on coming up. Find out late today or tomorrow morning if I get the day off. I will be in touch.
Since Tom F. was the only one who responded and the weather looks poor we have decided to cancel the match. The good news is that we have a match the following Saturday at Weld County. See you there.
