[BDay]Happy 236th Birthday to the greatest Navy in the world and all those past and present
who made and make the U.S. Navy the best there is and ever will be. [BDay]

I was a Gunners Mate and worked on a Mk41 VLS (Vertical Launch System), range gunner for quals,
VBSS teams, Ships Force Security leader and started my Mk 45 (5 inch guns) Mount 51
(forward mount) qualifications to be more versed in the GM world.

What did you do for the Navy or any other branch for that matter as a way to celebrate!!!!!!!!!!![M2]

ETA: I was stationed on the USS Briscoe DD977 and TAD on the USS Fife

GO NAVY!!

I was an Avionics Technician. U.S.S Kitty Hawk (now decommed). I worked mainly on aircraft instrumentation calibration.

It is always nice to say that I served on the oldest (at the time) commisioned ship in the military. As per tradition, the oldest commisioned ship is the only ship in the Navy that is allowed to fly the First Navy Jack. Whenever there is a military holiday that is also the flag I fly on my house.

P.S. I just did a little research and I guess that since 2002 all ships are allowed to fly the jack until the war is over. I got out before that, so I guess that honor is gone for now.
