We went up to our land this weekend and I realy got to work out my new bcm build, over 300 rounds with zero nada zitch malfunctions. I had it zeroed at 150 yards in 30 rounds now its a tac driver, to bad i didnt see any coyotes.

What kind of rifle did you put together? BCM builds some outstanding weapons. Between those guys and Larue I may as well just sign over my paychecks as they come in. ;)
Why did you chose a 150yd zero?
DANGERTASTIC!

I was wondering the same thing.
Congrats on your rifle man!
BCM is the only manufacturer I go with now

Definitely work with what you've got for a range man. If a 150M zero works for you cool. I tend towards a 50M zero on my fighting guns (to keep things simple we'll say 5.56 guns with non-magnified optics).
The long and the short of it is this (the numbers are not exact but they're minute of person so roll with it)
When you fire a round it is 2.5in below your point of aim (POA)
At 25M it's about -1.25in
At 50M it's 0
At 100M it's +1.5in
Between 125 and 150 it's at the apex +2.0
At 200M it's +1
At 225M it's back at 0
And at 250M it's -2.0 or so
The bottom line is anywhere from contact distance to 250M you're never more than 2.5in above or below your point of aim. That means all you have to do is hold center chest and you can drop rounds into someone's A zone. That was the big selling point for me.
Also don't forget to compensate for that 2.5in at FISHing distances. Otherwise you end up shooting people in the throat and getting made fun of by your team (plus you screw up an opportunity to shoot a badguy in the face... and that makes baby Jesus sad).
Obviously this changes slightly with different bullet weights and barrel lengths but for 16in guns it's pretty consistent.
Sorry to get all long winded on you. I geek out on this stuff.

I was going to say the same thing. With a 150m zero you are some 5" to 7" off at close ranges. One should always zero their fighting rifles on the bullets first pass through the line of sight, i.e. on the way up. This gives you two zeros, for 50m its basically 50m and 200m. Just my 2cents.

Not sure where you got the 5-7" from but it's way off from my calcs.
