That article is disturbing. The two people attack the cashier and yet he is the one who attacked them now? I admit he went a bit overboard, but he was assaulted by two people.

I love it when some one that goes looking for trouble gets what the have coming. I was at court for a noise ticket and there were 3 girls out side, all of them were plus sizes and one was really big. So the 2 smaller but yet still rather large women started a fight with the really big one right outside the court house. You can tell the big one did not want to fight but they kept pushing her and finally she snapped. That big chick cleaned house with the 2 that started the fight. I guess the best part about it was the 2 that started the fight looked to be in some kind of gang, oh and it went on for about 3 minutes with Police cars as far as the eye can see and no one came to stop it.

It doesn't have to be multiple attackers.. if someone is considerably larger and stronger than you.. it's a disparity of force and you would need to use a force more suitable to stop them.. multiple attackers, someone considerably larger.. think a heavy weight boxer against a feather weight..
But they don't have to be bigger.. two midgets attacking you would still be a disparity of force due to the numbers..
It's a defense to use of reasonable force.. the 'unequal (disparity)' be it numbers, size, or training has to be met with a force greater..
There are discussions and even a few cases that you can find with a short google search..

So, are you saying that if he had the option to flee instead of standing his ground at his place of employment against 2 individuals who demonstrated ill intent that he should have fled.
That's the philosophy I hear all too often from the liberal agenda and I totally disagree with it. He took it too far? I disagree with that philosophy as well. You can get a minorbeat down as consequences for your actions - then you and your posse can come back and gun down the person who gave you the monor beat down to teach HIM a lesson, or... You can whoop the holy tar out of someone to put the everlasting fear of God into them so they'll want to leave the neighborhood when you come into it forever more - and they might actully stop and think twice before going after someone else.

In our litigious society, they'll come out winners, but they should be criminally charged and forfeit their ability to seek damages, then get civilly charged by McD's for the loss of income their shenanigan's surely caused the store.

From the comments youtube and other news sites it sounds like a lot of people would let him walk. I don't care what the law is. Yes, but the lib mentality and position on those things is that they are an "illness" or a "lifestyle choice" which should be embraced. But putting a beat down on someone who crosses a clear barrier to attack you violates the liberal position of "can't we all just get along?"
