I just had what looked like two Russian Hinds fly over the house. Are We getting "Red Dawned" or is there an Airshow somewhere?

SE to NW. Looked like the Flight path was towards the airport in Broomfield.

I saw those as well, Marlin. (I think it was them). Was this around 10 am yesterday? They made me take notice, too.

I was thinking Veteran's Day but that is next week, right?

No, it was today, Just minutes before My first post. So, about 8:50 or so.

Wow, ok. Sorry, I didn't see the directions you said they were travelling.

The two I saw yesterday were headed NE to SW almost over my house. And one definitely looked like a Hinds (I Googled it to make sure....:mrgreen:) It made a lot of noise.

Hmmmmm, interesting. I didn't hear them Yesterday,{I took a trip to Nappy-Land :mrgreen: } Rae Ann did mention that Dozer had heard something, that Brought Her back from Nappy-land, That it sounded simalar to what We heard today.

Yesterday was probably the President, I believe he came into Greeley via helicopter.

If the President was in Greeley, why was the ENTIRE city of Englewood closed? From just past Broadway on Hampden, up to Dartmouth, over to Santa Fe, and I dunno how far south. I even saw Parker police there, and that's waaaay out of their jurisdiction, so I dunno what was going on.

They are owned by Threat Systems Intl. Hinds, Hips, Colts, Cubs and all sorts of other Soviet stuff can be seen in various test ranges flying against our guys.

Last time I was at Red Flag working ground ops up in Tonopah, I almost got a ride in one of their Hinds. Would have been too cool.

The Hind is without any doubt the meanest looking thing in the air. Here is one I saw in Africa earlier this year.

Weird.

There were two choppers flying over Broomfield for a couple hours today, but they looked like traffic units, not military. Never seen traffic choppers in pairs though.

I fly out of Jeffco, the two chrisguy saw were from a helicopter school they have up there. I wish I'd been up earlier, I would have loved to have seen some Hinds... :mrgreen:

Pretty sure it was this type

Thats a primary trainer. The Cessna 172 or the Rotor world. Lots of them at Pueblo Muni Airport.

The Hind is without any doubt the ugliest looking thing in the air. Here is one I saw in Africa earlier this year.
