View Full Version : Bipod cut plastic inch style handguards for FALs?

(x-posted from the FAL forum on ARFCOM)

I just put a bipod on my R1A1 and am wondering if anyone makes a inch style handguard with bipod cuts. All the ones I've seen googling with bipod cuts are metric. I'm fairly sure the metric ones will fit on an inch gun, but I'd like to preserve the style/shape of the inch gun handguards (i.e. Canadian, in my case).

Anyone have any idea if they exist and where to find them?

the FAL Files is the place to ask or look, they've got some serious FAL nuts overthere

THAT's the name of the site. I couldn't remember and for some reason don't have it bookmarked.

Thanks, I'll post back here for posterity's sake if I find anything out.

Ah well, someone on ARFCOM answered while I was digging through FALFiles on the subject.

' No inch guns ever had bipods except the L2 HB, which didn't have handguards. '

So... Now I either find metric handguards I like the looks of, or modify my inch handguards to work for me.
