New XD Compact release...

For those of you thinking about an XD in 45acp, SA announced their new compact finally. I really like my 4" service 45acp and glad to see them offering a little more concealable version as well.

Thoughts/feedback? I am thinking about ordering one or two for resale depending on avail. from my distribs. I held off on ordering the Dark Earth models as most either love it or hate it.

But seriously I am wondering when they are going to offer a .45 Sub Compact. I thought that would be next. Seems like it'd be another big seller for them.

I have 2 XDs now... if a Sub compact comes out in 45 hmmm.... could be a difficult sell to the wife that I need a 3rd :P

I'm suprised it wasn't a sub-compact as well since this compact will directly cut into the sales of their standard service model in my opinion.

I always thought the XD's answer to the Glock Compact was their Service Model??? So now this compact version of the XD is more comparable to the Glock Compact, right?

Do you have any idea how much the mags of both types are going to run? I know it's a crazy dream, but hopefully Springfield has their head out of their 4th point of contact and has the mag production ramped up to support the new demand.

This changed my mind and I'm going to wait for this bad boy to be available before snagging my XD. Just need 3 extra of each mag type :twisted:
