Picture this.
You're sitting on a flight, on your way home from a nice vacation in, say, L.A. Midway through your flight a middle-aged man of middle-eastern decent gets up and tries to break into the cockpit, then starts walking back down the aisle yelling "You're all going to die. You're all going to hell. Allahu Akbar!" at passengers.
What would you do?

Offer them a job as a protected class and thank them for giving me the opportunity to be diverse.
I would ask Mr. Obama to please sit down.
I would tell the person next to me that I would do something, but there was probably a new law enacted that we don't know about that states he has the right to do that, and since I don't feel like breaking the law, I'm not actually going to do anything.
Given only the details in the story, nothing. I'd let him beat his hands bloody and yell himself horse. No need for me to deck him for just yelling, that can wait until other threats present themselves.

I would go after them and take them down and hope others would follow me to secure the said terrorist.
I have come close when I was on a plane and the guy was acting suspiciously.
There were 4 of us ont he flight and I was able to get word that to follow my lead if SHTF.
I had a mechanical pencil I was going to put in his neck if he was going to act stupid.
Turns out he was diabetic and went into shock or whatever. It was a short flight
but we were going to Chicago from Detroit and he was definatly ME.
**** profiling or stereotyping, I wasning going to take the chance with my life.

This is the reason I ask:
http://amarillo.com/news/local-news/2011-10-18/passenger-youre-all-going-die#.Tp_AyM1nFby
Caused an emergency landing. Not a single passenger did anything about it... other than a Navy vet that considered maybe doing something, after he put his shoes back on of course.
To me, that's pretty disappointing.
Also an interesting side note that the guy was Iranian, after the recent happenings with US/Iran/Saudis.

Id say based on that, he was acting like a complete ass but no one could do anything per say since he didnt make any real attempts towards to cockpit or at others.

Ah but he did. The emergency call came from the cockpit while he was trying to break in... not sure if I read that in the linked article or elsewhere (I usually read a story from a few different sources before putting too much thought into it... the first article I read didn't even mention the "Allahu Akbar" part).
From what I've gathered, he tried to break into the cockpit and failed, then started acting erratically and yelling threats at passengers, and at some point locked himself in the bathroom.
I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't have acted on that.

I'd stand up as he went by and deck him. Be pretty easy.

Article recants that he was trying to force his way in later in the article
“He was being disruptive and unruly on the flight, but he was not specifically trying to break into the cockpit,” Rhodes said.

To me that just means that he was trying to get into other areas too, not that he didn't make an attempt at the cockpit.
I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't have acted on that.
I'd have to agree. First I would have told the nearest attendant that I was going to sit his ass down, then I would have confronted him. There is absolutely no way I would have let him get into the cabin, or even into the bathroom.
Being stuck in an airplane full of people I don't know for hours doesn't sit well with me. Typically you can tell if a person is going to give you a hand when the chips are down. When I was flying from San Antonio to Denver regularly I found myself taking mental notes of where certain kinds of people were sitting just in case there was a SHTF moment.
Those are reasons I typically drive instead of fly, if possible.

Interesting- I do the same thing when I fly. Try to figure out where the "men" are.
I'd stand up as he went by and deck him. Be pretty easy.
Easier to stay seated with seatbelt unfastened. As he walks by stick your leg out tripping him then jump on him with a knee in his back.
I would scout out the rest of the passengers to see if he had any friends there to help him. If I'm going to step in I want to make sure its one on one and not 3 against me, just incase every other male is to scared to help.

What if he was trying to warn the pilots of a visible failure on the plane?
That's probably what the gobment will claim to keep from bringing him to trial.

Find out who the sky-marshal on the plane was, and kick HIS butt, for not doing his job. [Muaha]
Saying this from the stance that I still carry an expired DoD identification card (in addition to my VA ID) I'd break his nose and subdue him and ask the flight crew for assistance restraining him and hand him over to authorities once we land. Then lawyer up and cooperate with LE- you know, because they'd try to charge me with assault or something I'm sure. We need to stop being such pu**ies in this country... if there is a potential threat, you stop it, by appropriate means.
I'd probably try to put his ass down...not gonna lie...

Here is the situation, you're at a bar and a guy starts yelling, "You're all going to die! I'm going to kill everyone in here!" While trying to get into the DJ booth. What do you do?

Is the DJ a female and if so, is she good looking?
I forgot to add that it is a crowded bar. There is a company party on the west side toward the front, and a bachelorette party in the back by the coat rack and atm machine. The men's room has a long line while they try to unclog one of the toilets in the stall. The DJ is okay because he is playing some new stuff, but he also played some Prince earlier and even the Macharina, so you're still undecided on how much you like him. The bar does the thing where the girls walk up and down the bar and blow margarita into your mouth for a dollar, but they are pretty ugly.

Seriously. If there's a bachelorette party at the bar I promise you that I won't care about the DJ.

Make sure you yell "Surprise Cockfag" right before you attack too.

I'd take him down, crazy activity like that is uncalled for on a plane. If it was a white dude with a Bible I'd take him down. "Mass Transit" means "sit down and shut up!" That's why I own my own vehicles and would rather drive cross country then fly! Lets go RVing!
