Weather will be nice lets do a shoot!

If it's mainly Fort Collins/Loveland people we can do Pawnee (88&61 preferred.)

If Denver/Longmont/further south folks are coming South St. Vrain would work too.

Eta: Voting closed - We're doing it at the North site N40 10.002 W105 27.509

My week continues like this, and I may be tempted. I haven't been to Pawnee in awhile.

Weather forecast is shifting worse....

If this continues, I'm leaning toward Pawnee.

Now shows for Pawnee:

Friday: Snow showers in the morning. Highs in the mid 40s and lows in the mid 20s.
Saturday: Mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the low 50s and lows in the low 30s.

And for Allenspark:

Friday: Chance of a few snow showers. Highs in the upper 30s and lows in the low 20s.
Saturday: Mix of rain and snow showers. Highs in the low 40s and lows in the upper 20s.

If IDPA - Clear Creek cancels I will try and make it.
I need GPS numbers for Pawnee if someone has it. Or, actual cross streets to the closest intersection. Is the 88 & 61 county roads? I have never been there. I don't think the 72-7 site is going to be very warm. As in around the 30s warm.......

yes, 88 & 61 are weld county roads, but 61 is not really marked on maps where it crosses 88.

Here's the thread I made giving directions, and coordinates from google are: N40 37.461 W104 29.18

Based on the weather and the votes, I'm going to call it for the North Shooting Site - South Saint Vrain Canyon, near Highway 7 & 72.

I should get there around 10:00 AM.
Hope to see you there! - 2C

2 others showed up, Marlin & Merl. Thanks guys!

The weather was excellent: only an occasional light breeze and it warmed up nicely!

I got to shoot Merl's yugo mauser & cz pistol chambered in 7.62 Tokarev [pirate]

Marlin's elevator counterweight received the death blow from 30 rounds of 556.

No pics, but it was a great time with negligible interference from other shooters.
