I've been working on the structure for the mountain crapper (thanks for all the input in earlier post).
Hauling 16 sacks of concrete uphill was almost as fun as digging the holes in rock.

I have some cedar bevel-lap siding I need to stain and nail up after the rest of the moisture barrier is up, then finish the eves/soffits. I haven't decided on the model of composting toilet yet, but it'll be the spring before it goes in. Wife calls it the "Loo with a View".

Very nice! I'd start looking now for a really nice magazine rack that will complement the local environment and interior decor.

That looks fantastic.
Question: When the throne is placed, will you be in-line with the front window for scenic viewing purposes?
saw dust, five gallon bucket toilet seemed interesting.

I think a forum-wide "Invitation to Poo" at Fentonite's is in order.

I expect that, sitting on the throne, you'd look to your right to look out the bigger window, or straight ahead to look out the smaller one.

I think that's exactly what we'll use in the short-term.
Just looking at it makes me want to take a dump!

Strategic natural lighting makes it look much bigger on the inside.

Next question...
Will the CO-AR15 Poo Party be a BYOTP event?

Only if you don't like the cheap scratchy stuff!

You need to find a steeper slope and extend the deck further out, so that the s__t rolls down hill...[ROFL1]
And yes I do not mind the scratchy stuff, I've experienced military grade TP in the late 70s.
Next question...
Will the CO-AR15 Poo Party be a BYOTP event?
Always BYOTP. If not there is always that guy that says he will share his...and it is used[Puke]

Didn't use it, was left there by some previous years tenant of our camp site. I suspect one of my camp mates did as the shovel is there. I took the picture to use in the "no pee or poo threads" type post on AR15.com
Now back to your regularly scheduled indoor poo thread.
Ya gonna live in it or sh%t in it?
2 hole'r or just 1. Could make ya an awesome ornamental magazine rack, or clip holder.

I sure hope I don't have to live in it, but I do want it to last for a lifetime-o-crappin'. Just a 1-holer, and storage for lots of tp. I think I'll need a combination magazine rack and clip holder.
